3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aged for 2 to 3 years. Aroma is similar to a belgian or a saison. Lightly sweet and somewhat yeasty flavor. No bitterness. Medium bodied. Not a whole lot of complexity, but very good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Got this 750 ml bottle for $6.50. Dated best before 20-3-09, tasted yesterday. Pours a deep slightly hazy amber, with creamy off-white head. Very rough and earthy.. lemon zest, hay, pear, leather, caramel malt, dirt, nuts, and light sweetness. I love the rough flavors and complexity, one of the better farmhouse style beers I have had.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle on sale for $10. I was not sure what to expect from this beer but I was a little surprised how much I enjoyed it. It was a dark amber color with a good head. The smell was spicy and dusty, not bad. The taste was spices, dust almost like a dark saison but also made me think of Christmas spices which could be the power of suggestion at work. Overall I thought this was a good beer but I would not revisit it. I will however purchase their framboise next.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The comments for this style say it is best when aged yet the bottle had a best before date on it. I’m confused if anyone out there can help me. I liked the beer and would get another for next Christmas if it would still be good. Help. Fruit smell of prunes and yeast. Flavor is caramel and a bit sour with a nice dryness to it. Very nice and refreshing in the mouth.
