Deep red color and large white head. Strong aroma of fresh raspberries. I couldn’t help but pick up some mustard aroma and flavors, not sure what was going on there. Bit of lambic like sourness, malty backing. I liked it but will likely be reevaluating this.

bottle. pours a ruby/brown with pinkish/white head. Artificial raspberry in the aroma. Bit funky. Light, watery, fizzy, highly carbonated, mildly fruity. The raspberry is quite mild, more of a white wine/champagne taste. I went back and forth on this, but overall a letdown. Quite dry.

Dark reddish brown in color. Very nice head, about an inch and a half, on the pour. Smell is raspberries, some vinous qualities, and some acidic notes as well.
It has a good mouthfeel. But there is a slight metallic flavor in the taste. Some very weak raspberry and hints of cherries. If it was bigger and more tart it would be better. This comes across very watered down.

Aroma is sweet and fruity. Appearance is ruby amber with little to no head. Palate is rather flat. Taste is overwhelmingly sweet and rasberry followed by a sharp tartness.

Poured a deep red with a fluffy off-white head. This was way more like a beer than Lindemans or Boon, and it wasn't nearly as enjoyable. The flavoring came off as totally artificial.

Pour is crimson and pink with a nice pinkish head...nose is straw and sour raspberry...taste is sweet and barnyardish with raspberry all over the place...finish is a little too sticky...it is what it is...

huge, sweet fruity flavor, almost candy-like. a touch of oxidation (old bottle). gorgeous red hued, cherry cola color, with a modest head. fruit and yeast esters prevail. soft malt flavor mixing with sweet/tart fruit flavor -- cherry/raspberry. the flavors compliment, though in the end the fruit leaves it’s lasting trace of flavor. utterly under rated brewery, fantastic beer. reading some of the super low ratings, i’m thinking, if those folks bit into a handful of organic raspberries at the farmers market, they’d remark, "too much raspberry flavor!" if you get anything but a clear pour, it’s because you didn’t decant correctly.

A fruit Bičre de Garde opening this bottle was like smelling fresh raspberries and this beer was cloying as some fruit beers tend to be. Page 271 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 343 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.
