3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle provided by Pinball. Cloudy reddish orange with a medium steady creamy off white head. The aroma is heavy raspberry and some sweet caramel. Light wheaty as well. The flavour is mild raspbery considering the aroma with light hay and caramel. Somewhat bitter raspberry in finish. Rather thin bodied.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2006 Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, pink, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium reddish-amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (mold/basement), with a note of raspberry with lots of seeds/wood, light note of detergent. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Second try a few years later and still not enjoying this one...slightly unpleasant finish, not very alluring nose, watery. Blah.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle. 05.07.09.
It pours a brownish raspberry color with no head.
The smell is raspberry sorbet mixed with some brown sugar.
The flavor is much like finnish raspberry licorice. It has some herbs/spices including fennel and anise along with some caramel malt and raspberries.
Not my cup o tea though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Deep pink, nearly red, quite dirty with sedmiment, large frothy head, ever so slight pink hue, spotty lacing, lively carbonation. † Musty nose of raspberries and basement. † Remains musty on the tongue. † Not as flavorful as one might imagine, but just enough to distinguish it as a raspberry. † Soft mouthfeel, effervescent but not as much as I would have thought based on the bubbles. † Quick finish, slightly dry, but not much fruitiness bringing up the rear. † Enjoyable, definitely not fake like many examples, but not as strong as I would have liked.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours with a modest head that dissipates rather quickly, and a strong raspberry aroma. The fruity sweetness makes me thing that juice, rather than fresh berries were used in the brew. The brown ale base provides a decent platform for this fruit beer, but it lacks the complexity of a traditional lambic.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at beerbistro. Pours auburn/red with a small, dissipating white head. Aroma is pretty much just raspberry. The raspberry flavour is balanced nicely and doesnít overpower the beer. Much nicer than some of the overly sweet fruit beers out there but fruit beers arenít really my thing. One of these is definitely enough for me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 750ml: Poured an expected ruby hue with a pink frothy head and very nice lace on my New Belgium flute glassware. The aroma is largely raspberry but you can detected some earthy qualities and a hint of malt. The taste is lightly tart, overall very nice as it wasnít cloy nor was it gueze puckering. Easy to drink palate, fizzy but there is bit of body to this as well. Yep, itís girly, so frickiní what, wanna make something of it? Nice brew for a starter to the evening.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at chris_o’s tasting of pure rubbish beers that are infact not rubbish at all. Alround rating: Fruity, very tasty stuff, rasberry sauce, i ended up having a decent amount of this 330ml bottle that we shared between about 15.

Bottle. Not what i was hoping for but this is a fruit beer that i did however enjoy. Lots of fresh raspberries fresh lightly tart, very drinkable, with no detectable etoh.
