Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of coffee and black chocolate is quite dominant with quite a bit of dry roasted malt notes. Taste is also dominated by coffee and black chocolates notes with strong carbonation which makes me feel like I am drinking a coffee infused Coke. Body is too thin for style with carbonation way too aggressive. The fact that most of the bottle ended up in the drain provides a good overview of my appreciation of this beer.

Faintly see-through dark brown pour with a thin head. Light coffee and chocolate notes on the nose. A little thin in flavour but pleasant enough...I guess.

(Rating #5072)

Bottle - 500ml. Pours an opaque black body with low carbonathon and a fading brown foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with roasted coffee hints. Its well balanced, robust taste carries roasty, coffeeish, and woody notes. Ends with a long, strong bitter/roasty finish. Well done.

500 ml bottle. Goose Village. Too bad that name had to change, as it had some historical significance. Aroma is cocoa-leather and ethyl. Taste is mostly that as well -- real slight roast as well. Tiny resin touch. Overly carbonated in my opinion. Not bad, but why the carbonation? As if they forgot they were brewing a stout and not a schwarz in the end... And even then, it would be really carbonated for a Schwarz...

Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts and mocha. Taste is dry, roasted malts with some coffee notes. Very unassuming stout.

Dark coffee pour with a large, lasting tan head. Light-bodied stout focusing on roasted grain flavours with gentle fruity and buttery, sweaty undertones in both the nose and flavours that procure a slightly thickening oiliness. Fairly simple and inoffensive, with more bite in terms of carbonation than is usual for the style.
