A hazed blonde ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a sweet malt with light incense notes, curacao, OK. In mouth, a nice smooth herbal spiced belgian ale, with thyme, coriander, herbs, very smooth. Bottle at Mondial 2011, June 12 2011.

Bottled 330ml (Beer Planet, BB 06/2013)
My first beer from this brewery ... label in interesting. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Hayish-fruity, Saison-like aroma. Light bodied. Front has some crisp hops and alcohol, then straw-like flavors, some grapefruit. Short spicey finish. Refreshing, almost like a Saison.

Pours a very light, effervescent straw color. Large white head that fades pretty quickly. No lacing, but it leaves a nice thin layer of white bubbles on the top of the diluted-honey hued liquid. Big sour aroma. I’m not sure it’s intentional or not, but it is very pleasant. An earthy, yeast aroma as well. Grass and citrus. Bit of malt in there just to balance it out, and let you know that this is indeed a beer. And some hops thrown in for good balance. I think I am getting a bit of yeast in the aroma as well. Very pleasing nose on this beer.

Slight tartness in the first sip. A bit of a pleasing malty sweetness afterwards. With a slight sour mouthfeel on the exit from the mouth to the entrance to the gullet. I get a slight alcohol taste, but not warmth, to this one in one out of three drinks. This beer is not too bad. I can’t find too many faults to this beer. I guess the biggest fault would be that it isn’t very much to style. It is supposed to be a blond, but it drinks more like a saison. A saison with a bit more malt than usual. Delicious beer.

330ml bottle (?, Bruges)
5 Vague minerally pale malts. WIth all the yeast, I get some asparagas.
3 Can be poured completely clear. As pale as an Anna, also crowned with a white fluffy top too. Looks adjuncty.
6- Horrifically thin taste when clear. Alcohol almost dominates, but there’s some light graininess too. Adding a bit of yeast filled it out a bit, and even more actually made it taste pretty OK. Much wheatier with all the yeast, more fruity, and even the hops come over more as hops, rather than odd chemical spikes.
3 Watery palate, crisp carbonation. WIthout yeast, way too thin, and without enough bite from flavour to make it refreshingly crisp. Just saved by the yeast and crap, that gives it a fairly green, but also grassy, noble hop finish.
11 Yet again the Giants are sub-par. Without yeast, this is a total failure, so pour every last bit you can into the glass to try to save it.

Fluffy snow-white head, reasonably stable over pale golden, well-carbonated beer. Nose of grains, ever so lightly spicy, and quite a bit flowery. Soft-sweet, with a fine sub-acidic touch, fortified by the enthusiastic carbonation. Again flowery-spicy, delicate, but at the same time a bit dull. On the edge of overcarbonated; light to medium bodied. Strange, but at least reasonably original.
