Blond beer, flavoured with rum. Named after a Walloon rock band.

Blond beer, thick white head. Highly carbonated. Slightly sweet sub Straffe Hendrik, if that’s possible, no apparent hops, no pleasing flavours at all. Just slightly sickly. Only realised that rum was supposed to be in it after I’d poured the second half into the sink. Just watery bodyless rubbish. Slight yeast layer in the bottom of the bottle, but none of the flavour of a real secondary fermentation. Addition of yeast didn’t improve flavour. Hope the rock band is better than the beer.

Cornfield (5482) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAY 7, 2007
After having spent the day on jury duty in the Cook County, IL, criminal courts system, it seemed most appropriate to pop open a Silly beer. It pours a clear golden body with a huge rocky head that slowly collapses in at the sides leaving a thick webwork of lacing behind. The aroma is sweet and yeasty, plums and vanilla, a splash of alcohol, some citic tartness. The rum flavoring becomes apparent in the taste, adding a boozey kind of feeling to the beer. Highly carbonated, this is kind of refreshing and warming (even with the "low" ABV) at the same time.

Bottle 0,3ltr: Golden coloured ale with dazzling taste of the added rum. The rum is just in balance.

A really nice surprise. Quite sweet as expected, but not bad at all. The rum is not as appearant as expected

33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Gold with thick white head. Oh yes, it does have rum over a standard Belgian yeast/citrus blond beer. Pretty ordinary really. Rum just makes it sickly.

33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Oct 07. Dark blond, transparent, white froth. Acidic, yeasty, hints of moldy bread and plums. Sweetish taste quickly flowing into harsh, almost herbal, spirit-like bitterness, supposedly from rum. Aftertaste is on the same note, with some hops probably contributing.

Couleur : blonde brillante 9.8 EBC Ingrédients : eau, malt pâle d’orge, sucre, leure, houblon Kent, houblon Hallertau, rhum brun Maya. Densité : 7% vol.alc., 14° Plato Conditionnement : bouteille 33 cl long neck.

Draught: Poured a golden amber with a light off white color head. Aroma is slight rum and alcoholic. Which is matched when tasting this beer.

Bottle 33cl. A bit to sweet for me, alcohol, vanilla, caramel, golden, clear, rocky head, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, full body, creamy, long finish.

Hazy yellow colour with a large frothy white head. Fruity and citric aroma with a vague yeasty note. Fruity and very sweet flavor with a yeasty finish.
