A Mes rate. Tap at Paradise Fest.
Hazy yellow gold with a decent white head. Decent fruity malt and some bright aromatic hops. Burnt sugar, strange caramel notes, a little dull really. Faint hoppy bitterness in the finish. So so.

Bottle @ Heeren Van Liedekercke, Denderleeuw. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty spicy aroma. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty flavor with hints of rum. Has a fruity malty spicy finish.

Appearance: 3/5 : Perfect clear yellow body, huge egg-white head. Aroma: 6/10 : Fruity sweet nose, bitter start, then some sticky malts uncomplex then more dry bitterness in the finish. Palate: 2/5 : Unpleasant mouthfeel, bitter with an alcoholic liquorfeel over it. Flavor: 6/10 : Ok, leans towards the bitter side. Overall: 12/20 : Not very bad, not suited for aging at all. Artifically pumped ABV.

DruncanVeasey (7191) - NUNEATON, Top 18, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2009
Pours bright golden to milky apricot with a high rocky head. Heady nose of lemon sherbet yeastiness, banana, coconut shavings and Malibu splashes underpinned with sprucey hop. Coniferous and yeasty tang smothered with an odd combo of syrup and spiritous bitterness that clings unpleasantly. Fine smelling ale that tastes increasingly wrong. Didn’t finish.

bottle, pours a lucious hazy gold with a tall frothy white head; good lacing. Aroma is bready, some hay, and a little bit of booze. Light and sweet malt notes that mingle with a yeasty character. Turns boozy with a light alcohol burn and a touch of spice. Fairly well balanced, enough sweet, enough alcohol heat, the rum is only mildly noticable.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2009 Bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp. Stable, big-bubbled white head. Pale golden colored body. Sweet candy-ish fruit aroma with notes of cork and almonds, paired with a whiff of Belgo-yeast and mild spices. Moderatly sweet fruity and yeasty taste. Underlying spice and citrus zest. Light-bodied for a 7-percenter. Unrefined sweetness in the finish. Absolutely drinkable, but not too well-rounded, and a tad too far on the sugary side for me.

Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Cloudy golden body with a big white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast and spicy. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, citrus fruit, yeast and cane sugar. Rather mild and balanced on the sweeter side.

In short: Can only summarize by: a fucked-up mess
How: Bottle 330ml, probably 1 year old or more
The look: Clear yellow-blonde body topped by a an initially large white head with medium retention
In long: Weird nose that I’d describe and alcoholised pineapple dessert. Taste is rather gross. Ripe bananas clash with an extra sweet honey/caramelize alcohol. Just to add to this weird mess I also got quite a bit of coconuts (!?). Some white bread and also some flowers. Very sweet. I didn’t get the advertised rum. Lively typical Belgian carbonation. Anyway this is a mess and I couldn’t finish the bottle. Named after a Belgian music band and if their music is as good as the beer then I’m wishing them the best of luck, cause luck is all that can help them.

Cloudy golden pour with a very thick, frothy, white head. Decent aroma of citrus and yeast, not exciting, but not bad at all. The flavor, however is not really good, there’s yeast and citrus, but there’s also a definitely unpleasant flavor that is probably the rhum.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2008 Bottle from kris wines. Aroma is yeasty, estery, belgian spicey hop, sweet candy sugar. Taste is similar, some wheat like Wit character some coconut comign through, quite an interesting little drink. Now after rating it i see it has run in it and being a rum drinker i cannot taste any rum at all, but its pritty tasty stuff.
