Did someone ask for hops? Tired of beers that promise a full lupulin experience, but never deliver more than richly malted bitterness? It’s no secret that this is what we excel at. We’ve been brewing world class IPAs for years. Our flagship is the culmination of a decades worth of studying and brewing. Take a step above and acclimate to what an IPA should be.

Pine and floral hops. Sweet malt with hoppy finish. Deep cold and thin pillowy persistent head. Solid west coast style hop bomb.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Slightly hazy orange-amber color with a medium ivory white head and strings of lacing. Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with a citrusy hops character and notes of herbs and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pour from a tallboy at GABF ’12. Appearance is golden orange with a big white head and good lacing. Big weed, pine, resin, light straw, and citrus in the aroma. Taste follows the aroma with dank notes of weed, ganja, pine, biscuit, and straw with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Pretty good, but is really lacking a solid malt backbone, and I think it would realy benefit from some added caramel notes. Still pretty tasty stuff.

Gift from BC4M. Thanks! Citrusy herbal hop aromas. Citrusy hop flavors showing tangerine and lemon zest. Finishes clean and dry. Overall a very tasty IPA.

Growler pour at Dan’s. Straw colored, small head. Aroma is floral, tropical, and sweet. Somewhat hoppy flavor, very easy drinking. This was a bit flat, but from a growler I can’t complain. Nice beer.

16oz can from Trukpro, thanks Dude! Pours out a very attractive amber/copper color with a decent white head. Aroma at first is vegetal and somewhat off putting, then as it warms it becomes very nice; notes of fruity citrus hops, light melon, citrus and light floral sweetness. Taste is of a nice fruity citrus hop note with light tropical fruit, melon, floral notes, sweet but not overly so in the background with a dry, bitter finish. Pretty solid.

16oz tal boy shared by Pineypower, thanks Dean. Poured a dark hazy amber/orange body with a foamy piss bubble head. Aroma wasn’t that great when it was cold but as it warmed it defientely got better. Notes of cat piss, soapy dish water, earth, caramel and some citrusy hops with warmth. Flavor is better then the aroma and also improves with warming, fruity overall with notes of pineapple, apricot, tangerine, orange marmalade, toast crusts, rapefruit rind. The body is dry and full with stronger carbonation, finishes dry and bitter. Good beer but warm this bitch up.

This poured a darker yellow to orange color with a white head. Aroma was nice grapefruit and tropical fruit, some dankness to with light caramel notes. Flavor was a little candy sweetness, with a nice amount of floral and tropical notes. Good but not great.

Tap at Cowgirls’ in Santa Fe

I didn’t know about this one before trying it, making the experience all the better for its unexpectedness. Brilliant IPA, tangerine peel augmented with dank deliciousness. The alcohol is apparent in the mouthfeel, but in a fully-bodied way rather than a hot one. Delicious, delicious beer and a total stunner to come of Albuquerque without any advance expectatoins.
