Hazy bright golden with a sticky white head. Huge leafy earthy resinous nose with a bit of grapefruit pith and pale malty backbone. Smooth and lingering flavor thatís full and a bit bready-yeasty with nice citrus tones throughout, pine resin, floral dankness, and a funky earthy hop finish that lingers and is formed by biscuity ple malty and a loaf of earthy resins.

Bottle. Clear gold with a foamy, ivory head that lasts and laces. Aromas of grapefruit, biscuit, pine, light herbal notes and spice. Flavor is the same. Mediumd bodied, smooth with a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle (presumed bottling date based on cap sticker is 04/27/16, label says 7.5% ABV). Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, grapefruit), moderately yeasty (dough), with light notes of onions and taffy. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. What an odd beer, or perhaps just a bad batch...seemingly fresh based on the cap sticker, but thereís almost no aroma other than raw doughy yeast (and unfortunately the onion-and-taffy stink that some newer hop varieties seem to suffer from). The hops are shockingly shy for the style, this honestly smells like a year-old IPA. Itís almost as disappointing in the mouth, where itís overly sweet, rather thin for its size/style, and slick/oily in texture. An objectively poor beer any way you cut it, unfortunately...drain pour level.

Bottle, thanks to Misterburd! Hazy dark orange with decent sized foamy off-white head, delicious floral hops aroma, medium carbonation, strong floral hoppy taste followed with orange peel flavor, somewhat tick body, long orange peel finish. Great dank IPA< very flavorful.

Bomber. Grapefruit hop aroma with notes of tropical fruit, floral and pine hop bitterness. Pours golden colored with one finger of soapy white head with excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with grapefruit and tropical fruit hop flavors. Finishes dry with dank floral and pine resiny hop flavors with citrus acidity. Nice IPA.

Bomber. Pours golden orangish with off white head. Aroma is dank and fruity mango. Taste is sweet piney hops with a piney dank finish. Itís pretty good but for the price point iíve had many better IPAs.

How can any beer be bad that was given out of kindness? I have never had La Cumbre Brewing and was recently given an opportunity to try numerous examples...this is one of them. - Project Dank, once opened, has an intriguing aroma...garlic in addition to the blast of pine and citrus. The idea that I should have a sandwich alongside this brew is overwhelming. - The first sip is as fascinating as the aroma; garlic and pine resin is predominant in the beginning, and a breath of passion fruit and geraniums glide effortlessly in the exhale. A complicated IPA? Definitely not the ordinary! There is so little bite in the taste and yet the sting on my gums is stunning and delightful. Warm and earthy, floral and summery, this is relishable on so many levels. - The stickiness on my lips graduates with each quaff, the resin almost pitchy. The moderately viscous body is a dark, ruddy amber capped with a soft, dense off-white foam that, if I was an immoderate drinker, could easily give me a "milk moustache"; but Iíd hate to waste. What a fine experience. - Most assuredly, Iíd define this as an excellent IPA, buy it as often as possible, and share it with as many as I could. Different is good, but the quality in this defines it. Iím glad New Mexico is keeping the faith, but I know I must be missing out because Iím not living there.

Hazy copper color with an off-white head. Really fresh hop aroma, concentrated, floral, grassy, like opening a bag of hops. Flavors follow the aroma on the palate, not quite a bold/fresh as the aroma. Balanced bitterness, appropriate caramel malt to balance things out. Well-integrated. Hops fade gradually on the finish. Nice beer that stands out for the style.

Fresh bomber. Clear amber gold. Nose is some garlic, lightly dank. Taste is dry with biscuity malts and grapefruit, vegetal hops. Great stuff.
