GABF 2014. Gold color. Malt and tons of bitter; dry hops. The hops really take the front seat to the light malt sweetness, but it is a sweet beer, with tons of flavor.

Sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a light body with light white lacing. Aroma is soft, muted dank Nelson character; actually that this was less pronounced than the Full Nelson offering. Light malt backbone with notes of lemon, funky hops, papaya, melon, citrus fruits and faint dank character. Nice IPA.

GABF 2014. Gold color with a large head. Aroma of fruity hops, along with pot and a solid black pepper character. Very dank flavor. Moderate to low biterness. Light pine showing up towards finish.

Type: Draft Glass: Pint glass From: La Cumbre Brewing Company in Albuquerque, N.M. Price: $5.50 Purchased: Oct. 9, 2014 Consumed: Oct. 9, 2014 Misc.: N/A Poured a honey, golden, pale, clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki white, rocky head when I got it. There was a decent stream of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good semi-layered foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention all the way down the glass. (Sight - 4.13) First thought on the smell was wow! Potent grapefruit notes, Citra hops, floral hops, pine, nectarine juice, reminded me of a light Pliny the Elder. I guess that would make it Pliny the Original. (Nailed it). Also some caramel malts. (Smell - 4.75) Taste was close to as good as the nose, but not quite. Got grapefruit juice, Citra hops, floral hops, tangerine rind, orange, bitter comes in more than the nose here, slight herbal or grassy hops, but in a good way. (Taste - 4.50) Light-to-medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-light carbonation. Long, bitter, sharp citrus feel as it went down. Only downside was it got worse going down with the bitterness really coming on late. (Feel - 4.00). Just a really good IPA. Glad I brought back a few bottles with me. Lovely. (Overall - 4.50) 4.48 99 A

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice looking copper body that has golden hues and supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet notes with malts and a bit of fruitiness and then it quickly gets into a sort of candied onion spicy dankness. The taste is thick rich and resiny with pine hops that have a nearly astringent bitter edge to it (or this is merely sharp hop bitterness) and then picking up a fruity citrus note. To midway a fairly wide load of sweetened garlic and onion hoppiness help take this into the finish. This is a solid sipper

Sampled on Tap at GABF 2014. Pour is clear golden orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Big weed, grassy notes, light citrusy, orange peel, dank, and grapefruity aroma. Taste is ganja, grassy, mango grapefruits, lemony, biscuit and bread with a huge bitter finish. Medium body with crisp carbonation. This is the stuff right here. Can’t wait til these guys start showing up in Colorado.
