On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, light fruits, grassy hops, caramel malt. Flavor is sharply hoppy and dry with lots of citrus/orangey notes and malty notes. Hops rule here with a dry palate (not sweet at all) and quite drinkable. I’m very in favor of this abbreviated ipa. 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)

tap at brewery Feb 2012-Pours lite orange with a small lovey rocky soapy white head. nose of dank hops, floral as hell with some tropical tones in there. -passionfruit. aweosme hop flavors but nothing else. if you want a all hop session beer, this IS the one!!!! huge tropical notes with fairly lite piney bitterness. the dank fresh hop notes on the nose and flavors is all you need for a recipe for awesome-ness! Nice work Jeff! one of the best session beers i have ever had, especially of the hoppy type.

Pint @ brewery. A 2:1 biterness to gravity ratio sounds like it would be awful, but it seems to work. Aroma is herbal, dank, and lightly citrusy hops also a bit vegetative, but not in a bad way. Golden/orange color, slight haze and smallish off white head. There is some distinct and somewhat agressive bitterness, but it doesn’t come across as being overly bitter although the bitterness lingers well into the finish. Taste is akin to a bag of pelletized hops, herbal, vegetative, dank and somewhat fruity. It isn’t offensive, but it is certainly intense and a little off-putting. Some will hate this beer. I don’t hate it, far from it, but why not just use all those hops at flameout, hopback and/or dry hopping and give it an even better aroma? I really appreciate being able to taste it without having 15 gallons of it to drink.

On tap at the brewery. This rules. So yummy. So quaffable. Body is quite light, even a tad watery. Nice tropical, citrus hop profile from start to finish.
