COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Second propriatary hop blend from Hop Union, Zythos is a very fruit forward, tropical, dank hop that lends itself well to pale ales and IPAs. This pale ale is a very American take on the style without being nearly as aggresive as our IPA.

Tap at brewpub May 2012-pours bright orange with a nice soapy white head and generous lacing. nose is huge floral and citrus fruits just like Erway likes his hoppy beers-Dank as fuck! flavors are a bit more sweet than expected-floral hops, animal cracker-like aspects in the malt character and a lite lingering mineral aspect (albq water quality?). fairly firm bitterness here sharp yet clean and focused finish. This Zythos hop variety doesnt seem to have a very unique quality to it like some. Seems more of an Simcoe/amarillo sort of hybrid. Well done once again.

On tap at La Cumbre. This is the kind of pale ale I like. Straight forward. Piny. Friuity. Dry. A bit soapy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at the brewery. Golden color with small frothy white head. Fair bit of lacing, body is cloudy. Aroma is subtle, lightly hoppy. Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation with a bitter finish. Flavor is moderately bitter. A very good pale ale, good if you’re looking for something a little less intense than the Elevated IPA. I enjoyed this.
