COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Curtius is a blond beer brewed with a number of premium quality products with a light taste and refreshing flavors. Mixed with different malts of barley and wheat, its base grants it a pleasant lightness while the addition of aromatic hop blossoms gives it a subtly bitter, flowery and fruity flavor. Its unique and progressive taste is the results of multiple fermentation steps, conducted during several months. Curtius deserved a bottle of quality and prestige at the scale of its content. This is why we chose a 37.5 cl corked bottle, just like Champagne bottles. Naturally Curtius will also be available in barrels. To enjoy all the flavors of Curtius store the bottle upright at room and stable temperature, hidden from daylight. When tasting, once the bottle is properly chilled, untie the cork wire, take out the cork and serve Curtius Beer in its original glass. Avoid pouring the bottom of the bottle which contains the yeast dregs which gave its complexity to Curtius during its bottled re-fermentation. Ideal temperature for beer-tasting : 6-8°C

37,5 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Hazy golden with a white head. Fruity yeasty spicy aroma. Light sour taste with very lively carbonation. Reminded me a bit of a mix between that champagne beer Deus, a lambiek and a tripel. Good unusual beer.

Belgian Blond? Wit? Champagnerbier? I dont know, but i like it. o,375l/ca.3 Euro aus Löwen,Belgien.

Gout fruité, vieux fruits jaunes, miel, vieilles levures belges. Bon corps. Fin amère un peu astringente. Sans plus

Bottle 37,5cl, shared by Calisky, a cloudy copper beer with low head. Nose is on cooked fruits, honey and mirabelle. Aroma is on burnt honey, old apples, paper notes, sugar, phenolic, not that balanced. Finish on old apples, coriander, gingerfruits, difficult to finish, not good.

Bottled, 375ml cork & caged from L’Abbaye des Saveurs, Lille, France. Clouded gold with white head. At first I thought that this was a case of style over substance, lovely packaging, naff brewery name and branding and an initial disappointment in the beer starting off blandly. But hold on, through comes fresh cereal malty notes, biscuity, clean then lemony, bittering hops, zesty and refreshing. This ends up as a lovely, clean beer, very quaffable. A little beauty.

Mooi goudblond bier met fijne witte schuimkraag. Zeer fris aroma, licht zurig, van o.a. appel. Drinkt lekker weg. Lekkere frisse smaak, beetje zurig, beetje zoet maar vooral lekker hoppig. Witte druif, hop, doet mij beetje aan champagne denken. Beter dan verwacht.
