Bottle sample @ Troy’s Bday tasting @ Stein & Vine. Thanks Chad.

Sample from a bottle. ABV listed as 7.5%. Retail 14.99. Clear golden color. Minimal head. Nice sweet yellow apple up front, mild prickly skin character. Moderate-plus sweet taste, lightly slick and syrupy. Light bit of tartness. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Solid cider, though a touch on the sweet side. Sweetness lingers slightly. It’s pleasant, though.

Bottle. Clear yellow-gold pour with a small white head. Sweet and slightly tart apple aroma with a spice I can’t place. Lightly tart taste with good depth, tasty stuff.

0.75 l bottle from Alko. Bright pale golden color. Aromas of acidic apples and pears with some raisiny aged cava character. Sweet taste of raisins and pears with refreshing acidity. High moussy carbonation reduces drinking to only take small gulps, overboard in my mind. On the other hand, if carbonation is shaken off, sweetness feels too high for the acidity level. Nice raisiny character reminding aged sparkling wines. More of a dessert type of drink or with cheeses.

75 cl bottle (7,5%) @ home, bottled 17.12.2013
Vertical with Swing Dry Apple Strong Cider
Aroma is mellow with some floury apples and hints of gastric acid. Flavour is somewhat acidic with ripe apples, apple peel, hints of white wine and apple juice. Dry finish with mellow unusual spiciness, more apple peel and hints of milk. Also slight feeling of alcohol on some sips. A disappointment, too much white wine for my taste.

75 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours clear golden color with a small head. Quite intense apple aroma, some gooseberries with mild wooden notes. Lots of sweet apples and hay on the flavor, mild grassy notes, gooseberries and faint yeasty notes. Strong carbonation, alcohol fairly well hidden. Nice.

Bottle @ home. Clear bright golden pour with aggressive initial carbonation. Sweet apple and honey on the nose. Hints of vanilla and some creamy caramel. Slight yeast as well. Flavor is really heavy on the caramel and sweet apple juice. Some pie crust and light acidity. A mild spiciness to it as well. Pretty good, as I’d expect from these guys.

Bottle courtesy of vinny. Pours a clear golden body with thin bubbly lacing. Aroma is dry cider and rich vanilla, maple and Apple. Mouthfeel is thin and dry like champagne and notes of Apple, light oak. Great.

Bottle shared with some brahs, pours champagne color with large bubbled head, doesn’t last. Aromas is beautiful with sugary Apple, earth skins, and caramel crust. Flavor is most of the same but not as thick or rich as a normal Neige. Much more champange forward but delicately niceeee.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a touch of gold strong visible carbonation with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has rich sweet apple with a bit of tartness and a touch of cinnamon. Flavor has rich sweet apple throughout backed by a bit of cinnamon and dryness. Heavily carbonated.
