GUSHER ALERT All over my pants and couch. Hurray... How about making a non-infected beer? Doesn’t that sound nice? Clear dark amber beer, fizzy crackling white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, sugary, lots of honey, spicy, bit chemical, yeast, overripe banana. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet and sugary, overripe banana, bit chemical, spices, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: bitter touch, banana peel, metallic touch, watery ending, bit oxidized.

@ La Roche with Benny. Served in a beautiful glass. Can’t see through the glass, so not possible to rate appearance. Malty granny aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is malt granny bit bitter and dry. Flat beer.

Pours a large frothy off-white head that fully diminished. Body is hazy and copper colored. Aroma contains citrus fruits, dough, banana, raisin and caramel. Flavor starts off quite acidic (which remains all the way), to go to sweet and to finish in bitter. Body is light and watery, with soft carbonation. Unbalanced with too much acidity and an unpleasant yeasty finish.

Bottle overflowed with foam when opening. What was left poured as an opaque, copper-coloured beer with large off-white head. Yeasty aroma, unsurprisingly. Flavour was decently fresh and hoppy but let down by a rather cloying bready aftertaste.

Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091114]

Bottle @ pre-GBBF shindig, August 2009. Murky amber colour. Caramel malt is the most noticeable element in the aroma and flavour. Maybe some subtle fruity notes. Clean enough mouthfeel. Not bad but not particularly interesting.

Cloudy orange color with a small white head that disappears quickly, and leaves scant lacing. Aroma of orange peel and cinnamon. Malts dominate the flavor, but light spice is present throughout. Medium body, consistent with the style. Not a bad beer, but nothing special. The bruin is slightly better.
