3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2008
Very thick-set, slowly collapsing, just off-white head over hazy golden beer. Candi sugar, as well as all kinds of vegetable aroma’s, and citrus; touch of sournes in the nose (pickles?). Sweet, with a spicy, very yeasty imprint, and a faint impression of acidity, and I mean acetic. Again like preserved vegetables, and even a meaty ester. Very slick, grist slickness, medium bodied. Seems not fermented out, somehow. Badly kept, stocked, transported? Poor, anyhow.

Sweet wheaty aroma, with a colour to match. Hints of alcohol, which causes some harshness in the palate. Good clean light malt body, a little grainy. Quite refreshing. Zingy, yeasty and bready.
