Commercial Description:
Amber coloured, fine sparkle and delicate and thick head. Pleasant mixture of the aroma of hops and a slight hint of liquorice. Pronounced bitterness, mellow and thirst-quenching.

[2000 brew, 5.6% ABV] Amber ale. Very nice hop aroma, lightly spicy, fruity. Lovely flavour, balanced in sweetness and bitterness, with prevalence of hop in the final; dry. Long aromatic palate. The basic ingredients, malt and hop, but brewed with real Art.

Bottled. Cloudy amber colour topped with a beautiful big foam. Postcard material this. Litchi aroma, sweet with some acidity, with the balance of prima ballerina. Exceptional drop that I’ve been looking forward to rating. I picked the set of 3 La Gauloise beers up in Brugge recently and this was the stand out.

Bottled. An amber coloured beer with a lovely long lasting white head. The aroma is very yeasty with some lemon notes and a real medicinal character. Relatively spicy and peppery. Inviting. The taste is also yeasty and a little herbal. Nice hoppy bitterness and a bit of an Orval thing going on.
