Pine cones inserted into the nostrils. Froth and lace all over the place. Smooth fruity caramel and a tang of balancing hops. Compared to most supermarket offerings, superior Belgian ale. Pisses all over Leffe Blonde. 750ml bottle courtesy of Morrisons. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2006 Bottle picked up from Morisson, 750ml. An amber colour with a big tan head; the first pour was sparklingly clear and the second slightly cloudy. Malty, slightly fruity aroma and a touch stale. To taste thin malt, fruit, a bit of sugar, spice and a dryish finish. Rather boring for a Belgian. presario (3010), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Light flavour. I get a fair amount of pepper and some underlying caramel notes. MesandSim (5981), London, Greater London, England

75cl Bottle from Sainsburys. Rather poor flavourwise. All fizz and no punch. Nice boozy nose. Great amber colour but with a disgraceful dishwater head. Metallic and generally blah... Fin (3495), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2006 Picked up from Morrisons 12-05-06. I had a larger version of this bottle. 750ml. This is amber coloured with large Mr Whippy head. Aroma is quite sweet with a musty yeastiness pervading. Sweetness continues through into the taste with sweet malt flavours pushing through and some hops struggling to show up. I quite enjoyed this but in truth it wasn’t anything particularly out of the ordinary.
