Amber coloured, fine sparkle and delicate and thick head. Pleasant mixture of the aroma of hops and a slight hint of liquorice. Pronounced bitterness, mellow and thirst-quenching.

Spicy wooden nose. Deep amber body billowing with fragrant suds. Pine cones inserted into the nostrils. Froth and lace all over the place. Smooth fruity caramel and a tang of balancing hops. Compared to most supermarket offerings, superior Belgian ale. Pisses all over Leffe Blonde. 750ml bottle courtesy of Morrisons.

Bottle. Amber colour with a big tan head. Fruity, spicy aroma and a very sweet fruity, light caramel taste. Medium body with a sweet light thin finish.

Bottle. Hazy golden coloured with a lasting white head. Sweet aroma of malts, caramel, fruits and spices. Flavour of malts, caramel, fruits and spices. A bit watery.

Bottle picked up from Morisson, 750ml. An amber colour with a big tan head; the first pour was sparklingly clear and the second slightly cloudy. Malty, slightly fruity aroma and a touch stale. To taste thin malt, fruit, a bit of sugar, spice and a dryish finish. Rather boring for a Belgian.

PNW amber aroma, caramel and vanilla with a metallic-yeasty backing. Copper with a nice head. Light flavour. I get a fair amount of pepper and some underlying caramel notes.

A Mes rate: 75cl Bottle from Sainsburys. Rather poor flavourwise. All fizz and no punch. Nice boozy nose. Great amber colour but with a disgraceful dishwater head. Metallic and generally blah...

Picked up from Morrisons 12-05-06. I had a larger version of this bottle. 750ml. This is amber coloured with large Mr Whippy head. Aroma is quite sweet with a musty yeastiness pervading. Sweetness continues through into the taste with sweet malt flavours pushing through and some hops struggling to show up. I quite enjoyed this but in truth it wasn’t anything particularly out of the ordinary.
