Blond, bright and sparkling with a fine and creamy head. Deliciously fragrant thanks to a slight hint of fine hops. Delicate flavour, mellow, perfect as aperitif.

Belgian light style, very foamy top (nitrogen?), bit sparkling wine on the nose and a light palate, reminds Tripel Karmeliet but nowhere near as potent.

Fles. Honing kleur, lichte troebel, mooie schuimkraag. Hartige aroma's, gedroogde abrikoos, citroen, gist, wortel. Smaak neigt naar saison met boozy/tripel ondertoon. Hint van gedroogde citrusvruchten. Wortel in de nasmaak, welke licht bitter en een beetje droog is.

Bottle (330 ml). Clear golden with a frothy quickly diminishing off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is slightly citrusy/lemony with grass notes and Belgian yeast. Taste is mild with lemony/citrus notes, grass, light spiciness and light honeyed cereals. Medium body. Sparkling carbonation that became moderate after a few minutes. Mild grassy and coriander finish. Fairly simple, but well executed Belgian Ale. Decent drinkability.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2015 Bottle sample at the Beer Valley Emek Hefer 2014. A bit hazy yellow with quickly diminishing low off-white head. Aroma of honey, fruity, spicy, earthy, honey date. The taste is as the nose, moderate sweetness and light sourness. Very carbonated. Medium body. Sweet-sour aftertaste.

330ml bottle served in a Duvel tulip glass. A: Pours a light cloudy yellow golden color forming a huge bubbled and very soapy white head. Duvel-like, beautiful. Great retention and tons of chunky and lingering lacings left in the glass S: Very bready. Strong Belgian bready yeasts character. Strong notes of sweet pale malts, honey and spices. Light notes of flowery hops and alcohol in the very end T: Follows the nose. Sweet pale malts upfront followed by an intense bready taste. Again, bready Belgian yeasts profile. In overall, a slightly sweet beer. Notes of honey and diacetyl. A little bit spicy. Very light hoppy bitter finish M: Medium body. Strong carbonation. Bread and honey in the aftertaste O: Good drinkability. A Belgian classic with a strong Belgian Pale Ale character [ BA Review @ 8/17/2013 ]
