3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small bottle. Mahogany brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma has roasted nuts, malt, caramel and yeast. Taste has light roasted malt, prunes, nuts. Has all the distinctive AD parts in it but it’s not too sweet or pruney like the richer Abbey Dubbels are. Alcohol is well covered but the carbonation is quite stingy so it probably numbed my palate beforehand.

Beautifull dark brown colour with red hues, quite bitter and quite sweet that do not blend well together. Not too good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark ruby brown, creamy layer of foam. Caramel, syrup, plums. Light bitterness, some sourness. Semi-full palate, rather fizzy. One of those tasty and smooth Belgians that are not that interesting but always very pleasant to drink.

Too sweet.
