Cloudy rust colour with a reasonable sized head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is quite sweet and fruity - roses, toffee, plums. Has a reasonable body, sweet but not sickly. Flavours are brown sugar, prunes, raisins, malt and grapes. Very enjoyable.

Monumentális, hosszan tartó bézs hab, sötétbarna, vörösbe hajló szín. Erősen fűszeres, karamellás, gyümölcsös beütésű illat. Nagyon picit édeskés, karamelles ízvilág, fűszeres, komlós felhangokkal, kis égetett cukros beütéssel. Testes sör.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; room-temperature. We’re in front of a dark red-brown beer, with a light fizzy head. The aroma is nut and yeast, The aroma is chocolate and yeast, sweet but deep. Nice one, but usual.

Pours a hazy red-amber colour with a beige fizzy head that disappears rather quickly leaving no lace. Nutty nose with dark fruit aromas and some brown sugars. Raisins, dates flavours with some nuttiness in the middle and pretty solid bitterness in the finish. Lingering roastiness and hints of caramel. A good Belgian strong brown beer.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Marrón rojiza, muy abundante espuma ocre. Aroma a levadura, lacteo. Notas malteadas.

BB 26.09.15. Aged for a year+. Semi-clear red copper beer. Small pale beige head. Nose is sugary, boozy, caramel and dried fruit, malt bordering on toastiness, but not quite there. Flavor is less sweet, but the caramel is still there, dried fruit, malt, spice. Hop motes and sticky sweetness in the finish. Nice one.
