33 cl. bottle @ hoem, bought somewhere in Belgium. Drak reddish brown with an off-white head. Caramel aroma with some dried plums and appel syrup. Taste is sweet with some anis and more dried fruits. Some gentle alcohol warmth in the aftertaste Nice dubbel

Really big head! Beer looks quite brown but when you watch it towards the sun it’s almost bright red, beautiful looking beer. Scent has sweet berries, blackcurrant popping up, and sweet caramel with some herbs and toffee. Taste has more dark feel, with dried plums and resins and lots of caramel malts. Quite hard carbonation, I was expecting more softness. A bit too sweet for me.

Tiny white head. Smell of caramel and brown syrup. Taste has almost a shocking alcohol burn with some fruit, caramel and brown sugar. Sweet and bitter aftertaste. I little bit too alcoholic, but still a nice beer.

Bottle. Pours a deep red brown colour with a white head, malty aroma, the taste is bitter at first which leads to a dry finish.

Deep brown with a burgundy gleam and a lasting head of beige foam The nose is pretty strong, sweet yet not sugary, also slightly sourish and some hops coming through A roasted, malty, full bodied taste, touches of caramel but overall not sweet at all and not too bitter either. Surprisingly little alcohol. The aftertaste mixes light bitterness from the roast with velvety smooth maltiness. Nice and solid brew.

330 ml bottle. Dark amber body with a big tan head. Aroma has caramel, dry fruit, brown sugar and Belgium yeast. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, slightly roasted, brown sugar, dry fruit and spicy Belgium yeast with moderate bitterness. Fine body with a long and tasty aftertaste. I had this together with a few other Belgium Brune and this one was the less sweetest of them, and in this case that’s a good thing. A solid beer within its own style.

Pours a hazy brown colour with a soapy white head. Aroma of yeast, coriander and some earthy notes. Well balanced taste between coriander, leaves, dough and a plesant yeasty aftertaste. Alcohol is not present at all, just gives the beer a good body and depth. A really enjoyable beer, but it doesn’t stand out from the masses of dubbles though.

Pours a nice dark brown with foamy beige head. Aroma and taste hint at prunes, raisins, molasses with a touch of hop bitterness. Little evidence of the alcohol, but it’s in there. 750ml bottle a nice way to wind down a tiresome day.

330ml bottle picked up at my local Vinmonopolet store at Langnes. Huge beige head reduced to a lasting layer. Frothing lace. Deep ruby dark coloured body. Fine aroma of raisin, prunes and dusty hops. Flavoured with dried and ripe fruits joined by anise and caramel. Yeasty hints to a dry ending. Mostly disguised alcohol. Soft in the mouth. Likable brune, not too sweet (Tromsø, 12.03.2013).

0.3 l bottle. Red brown color. Ok off white foam. A very nice dubbel. It has a fresh aroma of yeast. It tastes very sweet with yeast and alcohol. A nice bruin
