Drunk alongside St Benoit's brune. Foamy head, which soon fizzled away to a thin island in the shape of a flying duck. Attractive vibrant dark hazlenut colour with hints of red. Rich hazlenut coffee aroma, quite twiggy and rummy with an alcohol warmth. Took a little while to come through, but very nice when it did. Cough mixture, leather and almonds were other aromas. Lively carbonation. Roasted honey peanut butter taste. Sweetness dominates, though there are moments of sour bitterness to liven things up, and a tannic quality near the finish. A decent Brune, but St Benoit wins out for me.

Aroma is sirupy sweet, a little alcoholic with dried fruits. Tastes sweet and sour fruity with a hint of plum. Palate feels slippy and carbonated, still balanced. Aftertaste is sweet and alcohol is warming nicely.

Very dark red-brown beer with big beige head. Aroma is complex: lot of dried fruits, sweetness, anise and hint of alcohol. Flavour is also very complex: fruits, spice and sweetness that dried in the end and flavour changes slightly roasted and hoppiness. Full bodied beer with quite much of cacrbonation but still quite nice to drink. Complex, cristmas-like, sweet beer with lot of pleasant nuancees.
