Taverner (822), San Ramon, California, USA Oct 28, 2009 Pretty good Wit. Aroma is fruity esters and a little must. Pours golden cloudy like a good Wit should. Flavor is a nice refreshing bite that finishes clean. Nice grainy flavor. fsbw21086 (67), New Jersey, USA Oct 24, 2009 pours a lively frothy consistant head that sticks with it the whole glass. Cloudy appearance with sediment that settles on the bottom. Taste of citrus and funky fruit. Tastes almost like tropical fruit. Cleaner palette than other similar beers I’ve had. Pretty sweet but great for a glass or two. Would buy again. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Aug 1, 2009 Thanks Secret Santa! Pours a slightly hazy medium gold, nice pillow head. Aroma is grainy. Flavor is surprisingly rich grainy wheat. Very faint citric note. Undefined spice. Interesting take on the style, definite focus on big wheat as opposed to the effects of the yeast or the spice additions. Not bad. thejon375 (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 29, 2009 Excellent wit. Pours hazy yellow with thick white head. Aromas of citrus and bread. Flavors of sweet bread, orange and spice. dolemike1 (1116), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2009 Draft: Citrus and sweet sugar aroma over a cloudy yellow body and big white head. Flavors of lemon, orange, wheat, clove, sugar, yeast. Enjoyable. Travlr (694), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jul 19, 2009 750 ml bottle. Gift from Greg at Birreria Paradiso. Cloudy golden yellow with big white head. Aroma of straw and citrus. Nice full bodied bright and yeasty flavor with a clean and crisp finish. Good stuff. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Apr 17, 2009 Pours pretty clear pale gold, with a pearly white head. Smells of sweet bubblegum and wheat phenols. Some skunky citrus in there too. The flavor was much of the same, with a big bubblegum presence, pretty good funky citrus, and wheat chaacters. Pretty sweet overall, lots of sugary notes leave sweet candy-like notes on the palate. Drinkable wit, but jst not my favorite style, and maybe a touch sweet for me. hopscotch (5437), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Apr 17, 2009 Bottle… Hazy yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The yeasty, fruity nose offers cookie dough, warm bread and a whisper of clove. Medium to full-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor is a merger of fruitcake and cookie dough. Sweet, bready, candied finish.
