Decent, but nothing too exciting almost Impy Wit from De Proef. Haven’t had in years, but was stoked on it a few times back in the dizzle.

Bottle from 16 Tons Cafe, Eugene. Pours a medium golden color, little to no head. Aroma fruity, blueberries, honeydew, canteloupe. Body round finish melon then honey, lingering.

Bottle. Lemon/orange wheat malt aroma. Hazy honey gold with a minimal head. Sweet orange, wheat malt, and light spicy flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Hazy, lemon-yellow, puffy white head. Sweet, yeasty, orange. Belgian yeast, orange. Fruity, a little spicy. Very nice.

Bottle. Sour lemon and wheat malt aroma. Hazy yellow with large head. Sweet orange/lemon and wheat malt flavor. Minimal spice. Very nice beer.

It poured a hazy dark gold color with a white head. The aroma was light clove with some plantains and an artificial peach smell. The taste was rich with peaches, some light clove and also some pecans. Tasty.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy golden with big light fluffy white head. Little lacing, light body, medium effervescent carbonation, and light estery aroma. Taste is orange, rich estery malt, tartness, and some coriander. Pretty good, but not one of my favorites.

750 ml bottle purchased @ Nikki’s Liquors, Providence, R.I. for $9.59. Perfect looking beer in my Ommegang chalice. Nose is a vibrant Belgian yeast and orange peel. Taste is a zesty orange, yeast and lemons. Not much coriander which is a huge plus for me right now. Sweet malts and lots of citrus. Body is light and gives really easy drinkability. Very nice Witbier!

an imperial wit? interesting idea. it actually does taste like a cross between a wit and a belgian ale. the problem there is, its a little too sweet, like a belgian ale. i prefer the drier tang of a traditional wit.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly cloudy golden straw color with a nice 3 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Good foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge pear, apple, grape, herbal, lemon, earth, pepper, wheat, coriander, and yeast spices. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of pear, grape, apple, wheat, pepper, herbal, lemon, earth, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of light fruits, herbal, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Great balance and complexity of flavors; with no cloying sweetness at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly slick and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian imperial witbier! Very nice complexity and balance of flavors; very smooth to sip on. Really enjoyed this one.
