Tap at Blind Tiger. Hazy yellow straw coloured brew. Aroma is quite citrusy and and fruity with just a touch of coriander and some light berry sweetness as well. Quite fruity and wheaty smelling. Flavour is somewhat unusual, with less of the coriander that is typical and more of the yeast fruitiness than I was expecting. Light cherry and a bit of strawberry and even a kiss of wildness. A little bit of tartness and some nice yeasty spiciness as well. This is not at all what I was expecting and it is surprisingly subtle. Lingering fruit and soft tart/sweet finish.

750ml corked bottle. Murky orange-tan color. Picked up at State Line Liquors in MD, no way to tell how long it’s been sitting on the shelf. The carbonation seems a little low, but the smooth creaminess really works for this one. Whereas a lot of other Double Whites have a rather detectable upped alcohol presence, this one is perfectly incorporated/covered. Mild aroma as well. Sweet, light on the palate, and creamy. Bare minimal hopping. Very sessionable and delicious. Doesn’t exactly blow me away like some Belgians, but it is really quality and recommended for fans of Wits, and Belgian Pale Ales. Gets better the towards the end with the yeast poured in.
