How: Bottle 750ml, consumed a week after purchased.
The look: Cloudy yellow body with a medium white head
In long: Body is very pleasant, full, fluffy, very yeasty. Very bready, one of the most bready beer I’ve had. Light phenols notes. Usual lemon notes but also fresh bananas and some orange peels. Tartness level is below average for the style. This is more a nourishing wheaty beer than a light refreshing lemonade witbier. If you thought that all witbiers were light thin lemony you were wrong because this is The Proef. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA

Nose-clean banana, cottony, soft, very light phenols, clove. Taste-light clove, cardboard, banana. Decent for a wit. I like it because it isn’t all fucked up with the usual awful wit flavors. According to Kevin, I like to get nekkid pour cooking oil all over my body when I drink this. SSSteve (2063), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2008 750mL bottle. Poured hazy medium golden with a well-retained cap of white head and plenty of rising carbonation. The aroma began with sweet banana wheaty esters paired with lemon zest and dusty notes.. followed up by dried fruit and more banana.. sweet overall and nicely presented. The flavor was as expected from an amped-up Belgian wit.. sweet wheaty and lemon notes at the core surrounded by refreshing lemon sourness, nutmeg, and cloves.. the alcohol served only to amplify, and the finish was quite refreshing. Medium-plus bodied and refreshing on the palate.. dry for the most part.. really well done. beastiefan2k (1598), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Thanks to André *MacGruber.* This beer has a beautiful yellow-golden color. Can only see shadows through it, while the beer just radiates and glows. The small head leads to a decent lacing. Aroma first starts with a sweat wheat candy but then there is this completely awesome aspect on the back end of the aroma. Its a short punch at the end of a peppery/floral perfume, its amazingly original and awesome. Taste is basically a similar sweet candy and a watery version of the peppery/floral perfume. All very nice, very easy to drink and the sweetness is not heavy at all. Basically. its esters gone wild in this Imperial Wit. 750mL bottle, plastic cork, Rodenbach GC smaller tulip glass. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Draft at Max’s 72 Hour Belgian Beer Fest. Blond body. Fruity and spicy nose. The first hint of fruit seemed berry like in nature. Taste is spices, fruit, yeast notes, an expected grain/wheat flavor and was semi-sweet overall. Very mild tartness at times. Body is light and has a strong bubble carbonation. Ends with more grains/wheat, citrus fruit, yeast notes and spice. Standard witbier but not bad, overall. HughConway (367), Washington, USA
