On tap @ Max’s BBF. Pours a very hazy golden color with a small white head. Spicy aroma, very bready body; dough, with a small hint of citrus. Not bad.

Draft at Max’s 72 Hour Belgian Beer Fest. Blond body. Fruity and spicy nose. The first hint of fruit seemed berry like in nature. Taste is spices, fruit, yeast notes, an expected grain/wheat flavor and was semi-sweet overall. Very mild tartness at times. Body is light and has a strong bubble carbonation. Ends with more grains/wheat, citrus fruit, yeast notes and spice. Standard witbier but not bad, overall.

This is one ugly-looking beer out of the bottle and into the glass. A hazy light orange color with tons and tons of junk in suspension. Very thin lacy head. Low carbonation. However, what this one lacks in appearance, it makes up in character. A lemon-pepper aroma. Complex yeasty flavors with lemon and wheat-bread notes. Very drinkable, slightly peppery finish. Sort of saison-like.

[Tap] Hazy orange in color with a huge white head. Aroma of banana, bubblegum, sweet wheat malts and some spice. Grainy in taste, with sweet esters, clove and coriander dominating. Noticeable alcohol throughout. Average mouthfeel and carbonation levels. I am a fan of the style, but this one is meerly OK.

Bottle. Hazy gold, with thick white head. Banana, candy sugar, lemon drops, wheat, sweet artificial fruit candy, and light spice. The body is clean and slick. It’s okay, but too artificial tasting in my opinion.

Bottle. Pours brown yellow with white head. Nice slightly bready aroma. Taste is wheat sour with some fruit. All around nice.

750 mL bottle. Pours clear dark yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw, meal), light hops (flowers, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of grapes. Light bodied, oily texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

750 mL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a medium, white head. The aroma is vanilla, corn, and mild cheese. The flavor is sweet and funky. The palate is medium, sticky and syrupy. Overall, this is a cloyingly sweet and yeasty beer, but it lacks the citrus aroma that makes a good witbier. Fair.

Bottle. Nose is lime, mandarin, and lightly roasted grain; there’s also a slight floral undertone. Pours a hazy gold with a white, lacey head. Surprisingly sweet, with light phenols and more citrus. Finish is long and a touch murky. Good, but nothing special.
