COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottles: 33cl with crown cap, 75cl with cork and muselet.
Barrels: 15l, 20l and 30l.
Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV
Colour and sight: Golden blond, multigrain beer with a very persistent, lacing head.
Scent: A complex smell, with a citrus aroma, followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo.
Flavour: Initially rather sweet, because of the alcohol. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness.

Botted, BB 03/09. Poured medium golden with a creamy cap of white head and lots of rising carbonation.. still giving it a 4 despite major chunkies on a careful pour. The aroma picked up lighter fruits and lemon zest over a soft bready backing.. dusty yeasty noted laced throughout. The flavor was on the tangy side with lemon rind and peppery notes over pale malt and bready sweetness.. fairly well composed, but too aggressive at times. Medium-bodied with high carbonation on the palate.. strong and sweet with some alcohol warmth and well-played sourness.. long, spicy finish. Decent brew.

Had this one with oldrtybastrd. This poured cloudy with carbonation. This had cloves and spice which almost drounded out the alcohol. Finished with alcohol and pepper.

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a medium golden amber. Aromas of orange, caramel, and some spice. Flavors are sour, orange, clove and other spice. Almost like a high octane Belgian Wit, not a favorite style.

Bottle (in NZ), pours a bright gold, plenty of carbonation, with a white bubbly head. A big sweet malty aroma, lots of alcohol, with cloves. Full mouthfeel, creamy palate with caramal malt. The finish is peppery spiced with a real sharp alcoholic bite.

Bottle @ ’t Einde van de beschaving, Ghent. Had this one after a Barbar honeybeer. This lacked complete in aroma and flavor. Probably a quality brew, but it poured very cloudy and had a slight metallic aftertaste. Huyghe can do better. Very nice foamy head though.

For me this beer’s strength is the appearance. Finger of white head, body is just passing yellow to amber, and holds within it fairly large particles of what looks like pulp from apples or some other fruit. Veryattractive, interesting looking beer. Hoppy apple, citrus, and pine scent. Tasted a bit like sour apples and light orange peel, short finish. Not unpleasant. Medium on the palate, edging towards oily, lively on the tounge. A must try, but you might not go back.

Re-tasted after years. Bottle, 33 cl. Light hazy, golden color, with good white head. Aroma bit citrus, yeast, sweetness. Medium body. Taste - flavor sweet, yeast, coriander, good full on the tongue, bitterness end. Little alcohol notice.
