RATINGS: 658   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.32/5   EST. CALORIES: 255   ABV: 8.5%
Bottles: 33cl with crown cap, 75cl with cork and muselet.
Barrels: 15l, 20l and 30l.
Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV
Colour and sight: Golden blond, multigrain beer with a very persistent, lacing head.
Scent: A complex smell, with a citrus aroma, followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo.
Flavour: Initially rather sweet, because of the alcohol. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness.

Doughy sweet and fruity aroma with some spiciness and hints of alcohol. Opaque orange-tan body is topped by large white head that fades to cover. Flavour is not as exciting as aroma though still fruity and sweet. Medium body with somewhat low carbonation and sticky texture. Bottle. Entered from notes.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2005 Clear orange marmalade with a biggish head initially, but dwindles away to a small steady amount. Fizzy aroma with peach and caramel. Quite fizzy - too fizzy - in the mouth as well. Not quite up to the mark compared to most other Belgian’s, but not bad. Re-rate: Dropping one point from aroma and overall. This is a bit to acidic and not rounded enough.

Bouteille- Arôme de citron et de caramel, de couleur doré très légère, une mousse éphémère. Similaire à la Délirium.--Bottle-A caramilzed and citrus aroma, light gold appearance with fast dissiping foam. Reminds me of the Délirium.

(Rating #200)

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 Clear golden pour with a thick but rapidly diminishing white head. Intriguing but not specially appealing aroma of fruits, doughy yeast and spices. The flavor is kind of strange and not particuliary pleasant, there’s fruits, feels like some raisin concentrate, and there’s yeast and strong sweetness, maybe caramel, alcohol is not very present, which is a good point for the beer. The body is light, the texture watery and the carbonation is soft. Ordinary beer from an ordinary brewery.

La guillotine is a very tasty beer with much alcohol what you don’t taste.

(Bottle 33 cl) My version at 9,3% ABV. Jesus, this almost exploded out of the bottle as soon as the cap was removed. Lots of pressure, lots of carbonation - the yeast must have worked overtime in here. Golden with some haze. Some malty notes and a hint of some bitter hops. Slight spice but first and foremost this is very strong with a very pronounced alcohol. 070397

Very slightly hazy golden colour with a slim white head. Fruity, yeasty, sweet, aroma. Sweet honey and peaches taste, some hops and malt. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Full bodied, with quite high carboation and pretty well hid alcohol. Nice.
