Colour and sight: Golden blond, multigrain beer with a very persistent, lacing head.
Scent: A complex smell, with a citrus aroma, followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo.
Flavour: Initially rather sweet, because of the alcohol. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness.

Hazy dark-golden color With a big fluffy froth. Intens aroma’s of malts, fruits, ricecrispy’s, good hops and a fine sweetness in the nose. This beer has a warm mouthfeeling with hints of fruits, malts, honey and end in a alcoholic bitterbness.

(Bottled) Hazy golden color with a big head. Sweetish, yeasty and fruity aroma with berries. Sweet, yeasty berry flavor. Medium-bodied, somewhat carbonated, dryish palate. The initial impression is very good, but after the first few sips, the flavor gets a bit boring. A vey nice brew, but still below average as a Belgian strong ale.

Poured a hazy golden yellow with a huge white head. Aromas of yeast, citris, apples, spices and pears. Light fruity taste, medium body, with a sweetish aftertaste. Light alcohol but the high content is well hidden. A very good beer.

Citrusy-sweet aroma, Belgian yeast, bread-y, light hops. Cloudy medium-light amber with off-white creamy lacing head. Medium-light watery body with heavy carbonation. Light alcohol burn. Starts a little sweet, a little citrusy, with Belgian yeast and spicy notes. Some bitterness comes in with light alcohol taste to finish, and ends up fruity-sweet and smoothly bitter for the aftertaste. Light acidic quality throughout, and is a little light in the malts. Pretty tasty, though.

Bottled @ Staminee de Garre: Hazy yellow coloured. Fluffy white head. Fruitsweetness, malt and a light touch of hops in the aroma. Some vague spice notes. Is yeasty and hoppy in the flavour. Some fruit notes as well. Finishes with some alcahol burnt and a nice touch of malt. My 800 rating btw.

Hazy gold beer with a thick white foamy head which laces. Fruits, spices and yeast in aroma. Fairly intense taste of alcohol, but well balanced with malts/sweet. A little horseblaket quality (well my interpretation of horsblanket anyways). Overall, palate is a bit boring, with the alcohol coming out like rubbing alcohol. Thanks to Prez.

Golden colour, big white head with a lot of small bubbles. Nice nose: acidic fruits, spices, and alcohol. Flavour is quite strong and sweet with an alcoholic bitter finish. Certainly not a prime example of the style, but still not too bad. My bottle was 9% ABV.

Retaining creamy head. Nuttiness, fruit, and spices (clove, pepper) and hops, in a creamy yeast but not all that works. Wild. Medicinal alcohol kick, so not wild enough. Carbonation tickle tongue. Slightly above average beer but below average Belgian.

Slightly cloudy, dark golden beer with a very nice tight head and good even carbonation. Slightly fruity/funky aroma, not even a hint of the alcohol. Very well balanced flavours, with a late and large alcohol hit. Nice smooth mouthfeel.

This has a very strong cider-apple aroma and flavour. Very strong alcohol presence here which outbalances the malt and bitterness. Overall a good beer but by no means the best Belgium has to offer.
