COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottles: 33cl with crown cap, 75cl with cork and muselet.
Barrels: 15l, 20l and 30l.
Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV
Colour and sight: Golden blond, multigrain beer with a very persistent, lacing head.
Scent: A complex smell, with a citrus aroma, followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo.
Flavour: Initially rather sweet, because of the alcohol. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2007 A sweet, alcoholic triple-fermented Belgian ale. It poured a surprisingly pale lager-gold with a loose, lavish head and a suspension of sediment. The nose is sugary-sweet and heavy with fruit and peppery alcohol. There are notes of bubblegum and sour apples. Overall, the nose is piercing, thin and phenolic. In the mouth, it begins sweet and warm with some lemony notes in the middle and a dry Juicy Fruit finish. It’s smooth and rich, with a big peppery kick in the swallow. Tart finish. Despite, the triple fermentation there are still too many residual sugars for my taste. Palate is quite thin for this abv. Drinkable but by no means the best in its style. (Bottle)

Hazy golden color. Nice aroma, malty and spicy; light fruitness. Strong body, malty, a bit oily and alcoholic, strong bitterness, light final astringency (some wallnuts peel).

Sligthly hazy orange-golden color, big foamy yellow-brown head. Yeasty, sweetish fruity aroma. Sweet yeasty flavor, some honey and apricot. Medium-bodied. Hides alcohol suprisingly well, it is only sticking in the dry finish. A decent brew, but maybe a bit uninteresting.

Bouteille- Arôme de citron et de caramel, de couleur doré très légère, une mousse éphémère. Similaire à la Délirium.--Bottle-A caramilzed and citrus aroma, light gold appearance with fast dissiping foam. Reminds me of the Délirium.

Huge off-white head, dense and firm as dried soapfoam; clear golden beer. Sweet, alcoholic nose with a citrus streak, white candi sugar. Quite sweet, but again with near acidic citrus impression, thankfully alleviating the strong sweet alcoholic main character. Amber malt, some caramel. Fruity as from very ripe pears. Neither thin, neither full bodied, alcoholburn and slightly oily-slick, as from a spirit drink. The usual ubiquitous citrus saving the day - that’ll be the day! Not Huyghe’s worst, but very Huyghe all the same.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange/yellow amber with floaties, it also had a bubbly white head. The aroma was citrus and alcohol. Sweet citrus flavor with lots of alcohol taste.

On tap @ Delirium Cafe. Modest color and nose, with a full off white head. Yeasty flavor with some spice.

Bottle (330ml). Poured a dark honey with huge chunks of sediment which where dancing due to the high carbonation and a large, extra dense, foamy, off-white head, which lasted well. A sweet/spicy aroma with strong notes of coriander and cinnamon, sweet bready malts, dried apples, dried apricots and some lemon zest. Flavor was similar to aroma yet a lot thinner and less intense with sweet bready malts, a light bitterness, dried apples, and a spicy finish (coriander and white pepper). Medium bodied with lively carbonation, somewhat watery texture, dry mouthfeel and an ok finish.
