COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottles: 33cl with crown cap, 75cl with cork and muselet.
Barrels: 15l, 20l and 30l.
Alcohol volume: 8.5% ABV
Colour and sight: Golden blond, multigrain beer with a very persistent, lacing head.
Scent: A complex smell, with a citrus aroma, followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo.
Flavour: Initially rather sweet, because of the alcohol. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness.

330ml bottle (Poirotti, Helsinki) Lightly golden colour. Bitter malty aroma. Slightly guavaey sharp sweet taste, full of light malt and quite bitter too. If you want bitter, don’t add much yeast; if you want guava, add more yeast. Slight alcohol, but doesn’t spoil it.

33cL bottle from Woesten. A nice beer with a sweet flavor and hint of alcohol. What really disappointed me was the larger bits of yeast that clumped together in some bottles.

8.5% bottle. Pale, spritzy, silkily headed. Aromas of dried apricot, hop grassiness and too much booze. Some biscuity malt and hop dryness detectable, but too aggressively alcoholic. Poor man’s DT.

A herbacious dishwater of a brew, I’ve had a few bottles of this over the last year and I have to say this is the worst of them so far. Zesty concoction of oranges and lemons. Smacks of hoegaarden but without the Je ne sais pas. Very pale, translucent appearance. An intial sticky sweetness, but leaves very little aftertaste. The bottle is the best thing about this brew. Pretty light for a 8.5% beverage, and pleasantly refreshing in some respects. Its not all doom and head chopping gloom with this one. Stinky but interesting.
