Murky golden yellow with a rough mist of yeasty chunks floating around in there. Medium white cap flights away from the top like a wind blown snow cover across a frozen lake. Very little lace if any decides to stick or make a presence. Aroma is fueled behind a fine citric sweetness of lemon and orange with a tight squeeze of mustyness to help create a fairly decent Belgian candy-like bouquet. Taste is also fueled by a moderate dullness of citrusy flavors bringing orange and lemon candied in sweetness. Wet, juicy, and musty for most of its time. Slightly dry and pale finish with some left over yeasty dustings of tannins and dirty fruit skins. Feel starts fairly full and slides back from there into a medium body with dullish tones in both flavors and carbonation. Finish is both good and bad - Dry, pale, a tad off. It doesn’t seem to fit whats going on in the rest of the beer but I like its unique drying weirdness. A fairly standard Belgian Pale. Could be better, could be alot worse.

.33l bottle from Kuca Piva in Zagreb. Wealthy golden ale, yeastiness. candi sweet on nose. Body is very tasty, but a notch down on watery and dry-bittering. doesn’t balance well but there are great flavors all around. coating alc is a bit sour in the end. I could drink this again soon

Pale yellow clear body with white rocky head. Aromas are citrus, wheat malts, yaeast , hops , malts, grains. Palate is medium full-bodied with lively carbonation and mouth feel. Aftertaste sweet malts, with alcohol warmth and medium short hops finish. It is a strong alewith big ABV, however the texture is refreshing ennough with nuances with flavours and taste. Quite drinkable.

Suprised to find I’d not reviewed this beer before, as I’ve had it many times over the years: anyway this review is of a 330ml bottle, plastic designer covered. Best before Oct 2013, taken during one of my ’mixed tasting evenings’ March 2011. Poured into a Westmalle chalice: dull orange/old gold in colour, with a large white head which stayed but produced minimal lacing. The nose was sweet and yet with citrus notes within. The sweetness carried on into the taste, the sour citrus smells did not. Alcohol took over the mouthfeel, which was almost too fizzy, certainly well carbonated, if not overly. Just a bit too sweet and lacking in body for me, as well as the alcohol content being too obvious.

Tastes and smells like a basic Belgian strong ale, so I like it! The color is somewhat lighter than I expected. Nothing really new here. A cool bottle, though.

Drank ~ 2 yr afrer bb date! Orange to amber colour with lots of yeast, thin white head. Berryish nose with notes of red currants, sour cherries, strawberry quark and hint of herbs. Dry, apricoty and berryish taste with evident sourness. Slightly caramelly and raisiny finish. Soft texture, a bit thin and alcoholic, sticky and sour berriness. It’s not at its best, that for sure. Surprisingly drinkable, still.

33cl bottle. Golden colour with a frothy and foamy off-white head. Aroma has Belgian yeasty notes, with some hoppy hints. Flavour is yeasty, moderate sweet, slightly caramel and alcoholic. The final is alcoholic with a moderate bitterness. Carbonation is medium to high. Body is medium to high.

pours orangish gold with a big pillowy head. Nose is hay, cereal and some very subtle hints of lightly sweet fruit. Taste is sweet but also a very good bitter presence for balancing. Mouthfeel is crisp and has a long aftertaste. Better than I expected.
