Bottled 19/07/14. A golden coloured beer with a loose white bubbly head. A typical Belgian yeasty beer but itís a bit lightweright especially at this strength. No great depth of falvour and booze is unobtrusive. Itís OK but no more,

Best before date of May 16, 2015. A loud pop when I pulled the cork out, it pours a medium gold with a 2 finger head of foam that seems to keep on growing...well above the lip of my glass. The smell is of citrus hops, some spice..err...peppery notes, a real dank kind of smell that you get from some well made IPAs. Itís pretty hoppy from the get go but I DO get a smidgeon of sweetness deep beneath that biter flavour and there is a nice peppery sort of spiciness going on. The citrus, malt, yeast, and pepper are doing a good job of satisfying my palate and the alcohol is there but not invasive. Medium bodied for the most part; it thins out a tad in the finish. I had never heard of this brew but itís very enjoyable and easy drinking and dry enough to make it "thirst quenching", if thereís such a thing with beer. :^)

Draught @ Le Trappiste, Brugge. Pours slightly hazy golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and flowers, with fruity notes and estery touches. Sweetish flavour of fruit and malt, giving way to bitter, hoppy notes and touches of yeast. Bitter, slightly metallic aftertaste. Okay but it smells better than it tastes.

The aroma pretty weak; yeast and hay mostly. Pours brownish orange, clear, with a sky-high head made of enormous bubbles that donít last long and look a bit like some kind of scum. Bitterness medium, sweetness low, definitely spicy, the alcohol reasonably well hidden. Medium body, foamy to the tongue, carbonation below average, finish bitter and spicy. Should be quite nice, I imagine, if one likes Belgain beers.

330mL bottle. Pours bright gold, large billowy white head, no lacing. Aroma of Belgian sugars, hay, barnyard, some toffee. Taste is very much the combination of a traditional Blonde Ale combined with the yeast and sugars of a Belgian Ale, think Delirium Tremens "light". Nice short crisp finish.

(Backlog) Bottle. Hazy golden pour with white head. Light spice, yeast and fruit aromas. Spice, yeast and hop flavors come through.

the aroma of malt, citrus, buckwheat and hop... the taste is rough, bitter with notes of spices, herbs, raisin and hop... aftertaste is rather bitter and warming...
