Amber colour with a small off white head. Malty, light caramel sweet aroma with dark fruit and spicy notes. Malty flavor with dark fruit sweetness and a vague bitterness.

33cl bottle @ home. Slightly unclear dark copper to red-brown color, average sized off-white head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts, raisin, dried fruits, slightly caramel and slightly brown sugar. Taste is better than expected: quite a nice balance between malts, overripe and dried fruits, again raisin, lightly alcohol, light to moderately sweet and maybe indeed a hint of pear. Medium carbonation and medium body. Quite nice.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Bier Circus: dark brown with a slight red hue & tanned head, smells sticky sweet, pear (mainly), prune & touch dark berries jam, lots of liquorish, hints of chocolate, taste is lots of liquorish (drop), pear syrup, black candy, sticky dark malts, molten black sugar, prunes, seemed like a good mix but this was really a messed of concoction of lots of liquorish (in a not very fun way) & pear syrup, sticky body

Brown beer with a head with decent size, should hold a bit longer. Hops, dark fruits, herbal. Not bad, but a bit to much soda like.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein. Green hay and musty barley malt aroma. Amber color with a nice head. Dry lemon peel and hay malt flavor. Medium body. Unbelievably light for the ABV - okay but not great.

Bottle at the first German local RateBeer tasting at Wasaba in Idar-Oberstein. Courtesy of Bierkrug - thanks! Variegated amber color. Aroma of rising bread and caramel. Taste is sweet malt. Plain.

Part of the first German beer tasting in Idar-Oberstein. Thanks to Travlr. Pours a brown color with a very thin head. Aroma is medicine, grass and hay. Tatste is malt but weak. Palate same same but also weak.

Bottled, 330ml from Grain d’Orge Brasserie, Hombourg, Belgium. Chestnut with off white head. There is a strong wine like aroma on opening, a burgundy perhaps. The beer itself has a wine like character with some light spicing and pear drops. Sweet, aromatic but a bit of a challenge, it took quite a while to work through.
