Draft at Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Dark amber with a small creamy white head. Nose is fruit, hops, malts. Very exotic in a nice way. Some slight sour and yeasty notes. Whether the sourness was meant to be there was quite hard to figure out. Perhaps the sirup. OK

Flesje in een cafe restaurant in Limbourg, België. DonkerroodBruin. Ruikt wat metalig in het begin en later wat vaag fruitig, mout en stroop. Smaakt idem, wat zoetig en weinig bitter. niet veel nasmaak en ook niet veel body.

33cl bottle. Dark red and brown with small grey head. Nose : strong aromas of peer and malts. A bit of caramel. Sip : medium thick body and oily texture. Quite good carbonation. Sweet with cooked fruits notes. Dominating peer and caramel. The beer is tasty but not complex. I like the texture.

Sweet albeit metallic aroma. Thick, somewhat peaty, shame about the dominating metallic flavour.

22/VII/2012 - 33cl bottle @ Erwin’s place - BB: 4/12 - (2012-744) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy red to amber beer, small off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, very spicy as well, little chemical. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: spices, little fruity, sweet, cough syrup, very sugary. Aftertaste: spices, sugar, overripe fruits, bit syrupy. Original on the spices, but too sweet in all.

33cl bottle @ home. Slightly unclear dark copper to red-brown color, average sized off-white head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts, raisin, dried fruits, slightly caramel and slightly brown sugar. Taste is better than expected: quite a nice balance between malts, overripe and dried fruits, again raisin, lightly alcohol, light to moderately sweet and maybe indeed a hint of pear. Medium carbonation and medium body. Quite nice.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Bier Circus: dark brown with a slight red hue & tanned head, smells sticky sweet, pear (mainly), prune & touch dark berries jam, lots of liquorish, hints of chocolate, taste is lots of liquorish (drop), pear syrup, black candy, sticky dark malts, molten black sugar, prunes, seemed like a good mix but this was really a messed of concoction of lots of liquorish (in a not very fun way) & pear syrup, sticky body

Brown beer with a head with decent size, should hold a bit longer. Hops, dark fruits, herbal. Not bad, but a bit to much soda like.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein. Green hay and musty barley malt aroma. Amber color with a nice head. Dry lemon peel and hay malt flavor. Medium body. Unbelievably light for the ABV - okay but not great.
