Commercial Description:
Russian Imperial Stout. Brewed with 6 Gambrinus malts, American Hops, Cal Ale Yeast, and 100 #’s of the finest C&H brown sugar. Huge flavors of prune, raison, and molasses dominate with a sweet hoppy finish. Served on Nitrogen.

Draft. Nitro. Blackish beer with a tan nitro head. Roast and caramel aroma. Caramel and toffee flavor with light coffee and light chocolate. Medium bodied. Sweet toffee lingers with light roast and light coffee.

On tap at La Jolla Brewery--Actually listed at 10.3% ABV--On nitro tap. Deep, dark opaque, inky black-brown with hints of red in light. Lavish, thick tan silken head. Roasted coffee and cacao nose. Flavors of dark chocolate and java. Pillowy, milky mouthfeel. Well built.

Sampled at the Liars Club in Alpine Ca. Aroma and flavors were faint but good. The texture of a malted shake. Very good.

Draft at Liar’s Club. Huge head on this dark dark pour. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Lots of roasted and burnt malts. Flavor was smooth sweet chocolate with some fruity background. Pretty good stuff.

On tap at Liar’s Club. Dark brown with a creamy tan head. Sweet candy and chocolate aroma. Chocolate milk shake taste. Basic. Good.
