May 6, 2008 On tap at La Jolla Brewery--Actually listed at 10.3% ABV--On nitro tap. Deep, dark opaque, inky black-brown with hints of red in light. Lavish, thick tan silken head. Roasted coffee and cacao nose. Flavors of dark chocolate and java. Pillowy, milky mouthfeel. Well built.

Apr 25, 2008 Draft at Liar’s Club. Huge head on this dark dark pour. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Lots of roasted and burnt malts. Flavor was smooth sweet chocolate with some fruity background. Pretty good stuff.
