Ordinaire...

On tap at brewpub. A very dark, ruby reddish amber with a nice white head. Lots of caramel malts in mouth. Good, dry earthy hops in the finish. A light to medium body. Not much to say, but it did go down well!

Lubiere (10139) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2013
A hazed amber ale with a thin super thick frothy and lacing mocha head. In aroma, a sweet grassy caramel malt with light cinnamon notes, herbaceous, not bad. In mouth, a Vienna like beer with smooth nutty malt with grassy notes, OK. On tap at brewpub, Dec. 22 2012 2012.

on tap at brewpub. clear pale reddish with an-ok white head, some retention, good lacing. some toasted malts, ok-malt structure (lacking a bit), along with light to medium hopping - fresh grassy-leafy. clean finish. high drinkability. nothing spectacular, still a decent brew

(Rating #1989)

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Biscuity pale malts and supporting wooden hops dwell levelled in a svelte, well-carbonated body. This one will be easy to forget, but it is a clean and drinkable take on the vague "Rousse" theme.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the clear russet.
-Some caramel fruitiness comes through clearly.
-The recipe isn’t anything special, but you can’t say this pint wasn’t crafted with care.
-The maltiness is also quite toasty.
-The wooden, leafy hop profile contributes a dryish bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub.

Pours a murky amber color with a thin offwhite head. Very decent aroma of spicy hops, toasted malt and some honey sweetness. The flavor falls short though, the hops and malt feel dead and bland, what doesn’t help is that the palate is light and watery. The aroma gave nice promises but the rest didn’t follow through on those promises.

Astringente.
