3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at brewpub. Brown amber with a red tint, long-lasting white head. Smells like an absolute caramel/brown sugar explosion. Tastes like caramel, sugar and brown sugar. Nice bit of herbal and floral hops in the finish, leaves a lingering touch of oak wood. Body is watery. Liked it, very nice scotch ale.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draft at brewpub. Flat, copper tinted brown. Aroma is infected. Smells like smelly dirty socks, totally rank. Flavors are better, because smoked malt appears. But overall it is bad.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Dull brown. No head. Aroma has paint, diacetyl and goodness knows what else - I pulled my nose away. Sweet with some nice caramels and dark sugars. Then it gets electrical wire burnt. This brewery is rocking the qc problems in 2012.
