Bouteille 1L. Couleur acajou translucide, mousse beige ayant une bonne tenue. Arôme de malt rôti, caramel, cerise, sucre d’orge, noisette?, fruits confits. Goût de malt rôti, sucre d’orge, caramel, fruits confits, amertume en fin de bouche. Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen-dense, collante, huileuse.

1000ml bottle, Pours in a amber-orangeish color, with a small white head, sweet toasty, grainy, biscuity malt, cereal nose with some faint caramel, toffeeish accents, and some fruity dried sultana raisin, candyish brown sugar,candied peachy, orange, tangerine peel notes, and a light floral hop citrusy, grassy aroma follows through on a full-bodied palate with a yeasty, toasted, caramelized, biscuity malt, grainy cereal, mild flowery hop piney, leafy character, with some faint cedary, coniferous accents, a light fruity peachy, candied orange peel flavours, leading towards a warming, toasty, malt, caramel, lingering earthy hop bitterness finish.

Bouteille 1L. 10%. Couleur ambrée-orangée claire, mousse beige. Arôme de boid et malt caramel. En bouche, douce, caramel écossais, notes de Scoth Ale, alcool, chêne. Finale avec l’amertume légère du chêne, chaleur de l’alcool. Je le trouve très bon ce Barley Wine.

Bottle at Moeder Lambic, thanks Jean. Clear orange-red coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and dried fruits with notes of cookies and burnt sugar. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, cookies, hops and alcohol. Sweet finish.

33 cl bottle, at Moeder Lambic. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is dense alcohol and toasted malty. Sweet toasted malty and alcohol warming. Lingering sweet malty and smooth caramelish. Smooth malty and warming finish.

Pours a clear, reddish amber with a nice white head. Smells of wooden cask, like an aged wine or bourbon. Tastes somewhat fruity. Heavy taste of wood, and a hint of vanilla. Definitely a whole different kind of beer, but I liked it.

750ml bottle shared by jsprime. amber with a tan head. oxidized plastic nose. muted malt forward flavour. passed it prime.

Le liquide a une robe cuivrée. Des sédiments sont observables. Un filet de mousse se présente. Au nez, le caramel est bien présent avec des notes maltées grillées, des notes boisées, des notes fruitées et alcoolisées. Le goût retient des saveurs fortes du vieillissement en fût avec un malt sucré pesant et un alcool fruité et amer. La bouche est correctement ronde sans être exceptionnelle avec une effervescence qui répond au style et une texture collante. La finale est chaude et sucrée avec une amertume qui provient davantage de l’alcool que des houblons.

pours dark reddish with an off-white head. oak is the only aroma i get. taste is very fruity, tons of caramel mats, some toastiness, very sweet along with massive oak notes (vanilla and tannins), lightly hopped - or maybe not, but there is so much oak here that you can’t taste anything else. overall boozy, cloying and way too much oak shavings.

Aroma mild, soapy , hint of hops and vanilla. Dry alcohol at end.
Appearance light amber , clear with medium creamy top.
Flavor and Palate : spiced front with feel of pumpkin seed , clove with hop bitterness on side. Mellow palate with growing dryness of alcohol.
