Finally got round to opening my 0.75 litre bottle when a mate stayed for the weekend (25 May 2013): poured into two ’Duvel’ glassses. I love sweet beers and this did the trick for me. Pours an orange gold colour with a white staying, but thin head. Sweet nose and taste: like sugar has been poured into the final stages of the brewing process, or added to the bottle (like the old home brewing way) before closing the cap. Spicy notes too, corriander and cloves came to mind along with yeast esters and pie crust. The sweetness however overpowers everything else and I couldn’t keep my eyes from Santa’s crutch, I’m sure it was winking at me!

Srednie w smaku i zlozonosc uboga, finisz wytrawny i lekko alkoholizujacy. Piana srednia ale bardzo trwala. kolor lekko metny ciemno zolty. Zapach za to mocno owocowy. truskawkowo-malinowy troche owocow lesnych. silne nagazowanie. ładna buteleczka z typowo swiatecznymi akcentami

Drunk on Dec. 1, 2012 A bottle from Craft Beer Base, it poured a highly carbonated gold with a light fluffy quickly dissipating head. Very belgian flavor profile with a great fruity nose and a nice mild sourness. The aftertaste was a bit mossy though... You do feel the 8.5% so be careful drinking this one!

Cerveja interessante! Frutas vermelhas muito presentes, contendo até alguns pedações em suspensão no líquido. Muito adocicada no início, terminando com um amargor interessante. Vale a pena conhecer e degustar.

33 cl bottle @ Kahdet Kasvot. Rated on 15.01.2010
Aroma is somewhat fruity with apricot, some spices and Belgian yeast. Flavour is slightly sweet and somewhat fruity with caramel, Belgian yeast, some spices and distant floral notes. Quite typical Belgian christmas beer.

Cool pic on the front but that doesn’t count for much does it? The pour is murky brownish yellow with a big white head. Nose is citrus, cloves, honey and corn syrup. The taste is sweet, with a little bitter on the end. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, perhaps just a bit to carbonated. The body is light and the finish is long.

Light misty golden body and white firm head. Sweaty base, orange peel, sugar, banana candy and corn flakes. Big carbonation, light mouth feel although a bit sticky. Yeasty start taste, sweet peach candy like middle and yeast and sticky ending. Like Lemoncello. Not quite my idea of a Christmas beer, but alcohol warmth does a lot. Not refined at all, but I like it. (75cl bottle from Cave Gambrinus)

Idiosynkrasie (1983) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 23, 2012
330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Aroma of artificial, esteric sweet guck arouses the danger and the reminiscence of headache at once; unpleasant dry, herbal overtones. Taste is sweet, artificial with unpleasant and improper dry herbal overtones. Ugh!

33 bottle @ Gastropub Nordic, Tampere.
Pours clear pale golden color with a small head. Aroma of toffee, some yeast, sugar and caramel malts. Flavour of alcohol, caramel, toffee, some fruits and hay. Alcohol comes through a bit. Not as good as I recalled.

Bottle. If only the beer was as good as the label. Cloudy piss yellow pour with a huge white head. Faint lemon/citrus aromas. Clean and light in body. Lemon zest with some spice notes.
