Getestet beim LCRBM Säuerlicher Antrunk, etwas hopfig, etwas herb. Später steht der Hopfen etwas mehr im Vordergrund, ein würziger Unterton ist gerade noch zu erkennen. Wässrig. Test vom 10.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,9,9,9,9 - 9,00

Deep golden-amber beer. The aroma is quite strange with a mix of grassy/herbal hoppiness that seems like it’s gone off. Quite european with mostly noble hops that have gone a little bit cheesey. A light pale malt backbone that also comes across sort of oxidized. Light bitterness with a lingering dustiness. I suspect this bottle was once better, but it seems pretty poor to me.

Thanks to JoeMcPhee for sharing - cloudy golden ale, with a soapy, lasting lace - very mellow, earthy, musty aroma, with some stale hops kicking around in the back - opens earthy and tart, with a tiny bit of funk - some grassy but stale hops (but given the nature of the other characteristics, I believe this is intentional - this beer is MEANT to taste old) - a bit of grain/bread late - some cork and lingering earthiness - tastes like a Parisian basement (that’s not as bad as that sounds).

Bottle shared by McPhee. Nice, tart, sauerkraut, vegetal aroma, some thyme. Rich, but dry flavor, kind of stinky, a little wild. A good bit of crunchy, fresh euro hops in this, though they’re slightly old. Carbonation and body and nice and mellow. Good stuff here.

Light and refreshing ale with nice citrus-hop aroma. Bottle from Cave a Bulles in Paris. Pours hazy golden-orange with white lacy head. Citrus-hop nose is more lemon than grapefruit, a touch floral. Tastes bitter but not extreme, lacking a juicy center and instead going grassy and dry. Love to try it on tap. Nice beer for a hot day.

A Mes rate: Bottle at LCRBM3. Cloudy dark blonde colour. Floral and grassy and generally hoppy all round with some nice yeasty barnyard notes and a decent bitter finish. Interesting but not amazing.

3rd LCRBM. Aroma is yeasty/spicy/barnyard and citric. Hazy, yellow coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter-sour, citric with some hop. Okay.

3rdLCRBM Spicy aroma with citrus. Spicy flavor (cinnamon, laurel). Thin. Citrus aftertaste. Unspectacular, but not bad.

Bottle, 75 cl; yesterday @ LCRBM, Kulminator. Dark golden copper color, with white head. Aroma malts, hops. Medium, almost full body. Taste hops, good bitterness.

Bottle@LCRBM. Oak and funky barnyard aroma. Cloudy, yellow color, white head, fair lace. Light sweet, light fruity, light bitter. Smells great but the flavors don’t live up to that.
