Bottle. Blueberry and sour/musty malt aroma. Amber color with large head. Sweet blueberry malt and lightly musty/astringent finish. A bit funky. Pretty unique.

courtesy of Jespr - cloudy dark reddish-amber colour and with a persistent pinkish head; deep aroma of blueberries with some yeasty notes; very sweet and juicy palate, a moderate carbonation and a long sweetish and slightly perfumy aftertaste of blueberries - not bad despite being too sweet

Bottle round The Jenners. Dusky pink with a narrow pink collar and plenty of interesting black sediment. Berry-scented bath foam aroma. Ribena and lemonade feel with a nasty aspsartame finish. Echoes of Abita Purple Haze, but not quite as revolting.

Bottled. An amber beer with big chunks floating around under a beige head. The aroma has notes of blueberries and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of blueberries in a slightly artificial way, leading to a very dry finish.

Light brown to dark amber coloured beer with some average carbonation and a small white head. Strong sweet fruity aroma, difficult to specify (some berries). Strange light sprankling palate. Finish is fruity, malty hinted, but has no nice aftertaste. Very medium one.

I had this beer 2 times, one from the tap and one from the bottle. The tap was a bit strange, having a bit of a cleaning stuff kind of taste and smell. So the bottle was better and what follows is about the bottle. Quick disappearing white to very light purple foamy head. Smells sweet fruit (blueberry), like kriekbeer, also some sour, yeast and hoppy aroma’s. Color is hazy to light orange purple. Taste is mix of hops, malts, yeast , sugars and especially the myrtille is tasteble. Also just a little bit sour. Looks more like a mix of a better pilsener with the local fruit. It’s a very special (unique and interesting mix of ingredients) beer with pretty high carbonation. The aftertaste changes a bit from sweetsourbitter to a more sweetbitter ending. Note: Myrtille means blueberry. The surroundings of Vielsalm are known for this fruit. Thus this beer is brewed with this ingredient and makes it one of it’s own.

33cl Bottle at Kafé België, Utrecht. Light hazy amber with a purple hue, off white head. Aroma of blackberries, sourness, but not in a good way. Flavour is sour, fruity, light malty, and then becomes very artificial, light sweetened with huge plastic notes and even some rubber in there. Ligth to medium bodied. Down the sink it went...Awful beer.
