Pours clear and golden hazzlenut brown with a lacing white head. Mild spiced and dry malty aroma. Flavour is mild toffee sweet and with a mild roasted note. Ends with a light overripe fruity note. Mild bitterness too. Grovlam (3204), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 21, 2008 Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Large foamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Clear golden color. Aroma of bread, fruit, grain, nutty, toffee. Over the palate came smooth malty notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet malty flavor with a hint of bitterness. Malty toasted finish. 6 / 3 / 6 / 3 / 14 fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 20, 2008 Amber color; thin creamy head. Grainy aroma, round mouthfeel, with some sweetness and some cereals flavor, Very obvious French beer. JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 18, 2008 Fine yellowish rim, over (cold) hazy amber beer. Almondy nose, bit of rainwater, hard fruitstones and lightly coloured malts. Again almonds, with the sweetness hinting at cheap alcohol or cheap brandy. There’s a distinct poin of salinity there, shellfish-like. A bit aggressive, near-astringent. Medium bodied at best. Unlikable, even poor beer.
