A medium dark, amber brown coloured beer with a frothy white head. A rich, buttery, malty aroma, with caramel and ripe tropical fruit. Dry mouthfeel. A tangy sour taste to start and grassy, with a strong hint of alcohol. This is tempered by the forth-coming smooth, malty flavour, slightly spicy, with the tropical fruit elements from the aroma, plus the rounded flavours of caramel and a hint of butterscotch. The finish is smooth and lengthy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 McNeillR (249) - SCOTLAND - OCT 6, 2012
Dewy grass nose with a starkly brown body and murky foam head. Nice ’n spicey initial taste coupled with a suprisingly bitter bite on the palate and a sweet candy apple finish to round off.
Easily one of the most moreish Belgium Tripel’s I’ve enjoyed, a balance of moreish depth in the main and sugary kiss of a linger. Excellent stuff.
