COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The amber colour is the result of brewing a pure variety of two-row spring malt, the addition of roasted wheat along with a careful selection of spices in its recipe. La Ramée is a non-filtered high fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle, exceptionally easily to digest, with a slightly peppery flavour. In order to enjoy the fullness of its flavour, we advise you to savour it at a temperature of between 7° and 10°C.

Seems underattenuated with some grainyness. Mild pepper spice and oxidation, not a good combo. Caramel and toffee notes with a bit of metallic finish.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2005 Bottle. Hazy brown colour with no head. Sweet alcoholic spicy aroma and a sweet fruity taste. Medium body and a dry finish. Not good.

Dark amber colored, frothy tan head. Lots of yeast and some caramelly notes in the aroma, sharp and unbalanced. Sharp, dry, rancid flavor. Weird and not very good.

Intens amber color with fluffy beige head. Malty aroma’s and touches of nuts, peachepit, sirop de Liège (pearsirup) cerials and a faint sourness in the nose. The taste is dry malty and has the bitterness of nutpeel. It also has a dry fruity accent with a little sour side.

Cloudy amber colour with a big tan coloured head. Aroma has malt, sweet caramel, light hops, some yeast and spices. Spicey, malty and hoppy taste, well balanced. Smooth with a medium body. A quality Belgian Strong.

Low head, slightly acidic taste to me, but bitter at the same time, slightly cloudy, but quite refreshing.

Poured a dark amber with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of bubblegum, candi sugar, and some spices. Spicy tasting and somewhat sweet. Thinner body. Not one of the better Belgian Strong Ales out there.
