Even today, tradition is respected because it is brewed with the greatest care, using traditional methods, based on a unique recipe from Brabant Hesbaye. The amber colour is the result of brewing a pure variety of two-row spring malt, the addition of roasted wheat along with a careful selection of spices in its recipe. La Ramée is a non-filtered high fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle, exceptionally easily to digest, with a slightly peppery flavour.

Used to be 8%. Changed to 7.5% at least 2015, maybe earlier.

(La Ramée Blonde) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a trappist glass, ABV 7.5% Clear body, deep golden yellow in colour, with a good sized but thin white head, with average retention. Fruity aroma, peaches, apricots, sugar, light alcohol, malts. Taste has malts, sugars, alcohol, grains, the aforementioned stone fruits, quite sweet. Medium thin body, right amount of carbonation, sticky palate. Standard belgian ale but well done.

Tap @ Taverne Kopenhagen, Sint Niklaas. Pours yellow with a good white head. Aroma is peachy, yeasty. Taste follows along the same lines. A fairly alright, blond Belgian.

13/VI/15 - on tap @ Bier Central (Antwerp) - BB: n/a (2015-779)

Clear pale blond beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of banana, bit metallic, coriander, malty touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, malty, lots of overripe banana, little metallic, bitter, spicy touch. Aftertaste: banana, sweet, sugary, some marzipan, bit sticky. Very mediocre.
