rw4244 (123), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Feb 27, 2007 Bottle 66cl. Poured a dark clear amber with a frothy white head. Highly carbonated. Weak malty aroma. Quite a strong, malty bitter with hints of caramel, biscuit and bread. Similar in aftertaste, quite refreshing despite its rich flavour. Slightly oily, with a full palate. Tasty malt beer, I’m surprised by the low ratings.
MoritzF (4013), Ruhrpott, Germany Aug 31, 2008 (65cl swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a big fluffy white foam. Sweet barley-malty aroma, slightly strawy and grainy with a touch of marzipan and a shy whiff of herbal hops. Sweetish flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented, perfumed grainy taste; sweetish and perfumed finish with a faint level of bitterness (02.05.08). gunnfryd (2809), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 20, 2008 Bottle, Thx to thewolf. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, hop, malt. Flavour is fruit, hop, malt, sweet. Pleasent easy drinkable beer. thill25 (194), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 17, 2008 750 ml bottle/corked not a swing cap...Poured an nice orange color w/ a fizzy head that was quick to diminish. The aromas were very malty, grains, hay, and some sweet fruits. Flavor was very bland toffee, malt, tobacco, white raisins, grains. Palate was dominated by the carbonation and the long bitter finish. Not great, not bad... yngwie (3702), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 6, 2008 Bottle, thx to thewolf. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Fruity nose with some sweetness and some grains. Lightly fruity and sweet flavor with a little grainy touch. Medium to full body. Fruity and slightly finish. Far from a great beer, maybe I rated it too high, but at least it felt right at the moment I was drinking it. It is quite easy to drink and sure not bad. (080301) JensenTaster (1485), Denmark Mar 4, 2008 (on bottle, thanx to thewolf) Light orange, soft malt nose. Mellow smooth taste of nothing but barley, quite simple. Gets too sweet in finish.
