Commercial Description:
The Grande Rivière is an amber beer made with roasted barley malt. Its notes of caramel and pain d'épices give it a pleasant feeling of roundness and freshness.

Botella. In compañia con la justada familia. Clear amber-brown. Rather short lasting head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and hops. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with a good toasty maltiness and caramel, soft bitter hoppiness, slight spice and bit of dark fruits. Looking forward to the other La Rouget de Lisle beers stored in my cellar.

Sampled on a great bike tour in France in 2004 in various circumstances in unforgetable landscapes. Aroma and flavor of this brew is over average and not bad for a french microbrew.

Bottled(330ml). -clear amber coloured with froathy white head. Nice roasted malt aroma, mild spicy, hoppy and slight caramel notes but for a 6.0%ABV quite weak brew

75 cl bottle. Amber colour with a small fizzy head. Malty aroma with hints of caramel and some sweetness too. Flavour of sweet malt combined with caramel, with a touch of hops.
