750 ml bottle from a mixed case served just below room temprature. Murky brown with a thick tan head which disipates. Coffee & chocolate in the aroma, and also predominant in the flavour. There’s also a hint of licquorice which manages to make its prescence felt without being intrusive. A nice sipper

Bottle: Medium vast creamy off white light tan head on top of a deep deep dark brown colored beer. Smell oatmeal, toasted malts, toasted grains, very light hint of liquorice, light flowers. Smells good. Taste some light woody liquorice, toasted malts, toasted barleys and toasted grains, herbs, hint of caramel. Pretty tasty though a bit of a short taste. Nice toasted malty light sweet nice bitter aftertaste. Low to medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body (taste disappears pretty quick) and a texture between watery and creamy.

Fra fat på Delirium Café i Brussel 7 Mai 11. Delt med Rune. Mørkebrun. Lavt skum. God fruktig aroma. Kaffepreg. Litt uvariert - men god. Toner ut med en forsiktig søt kaffesmak.

75cl bottle. I bought it at the brewery’s shop. Apparently the brewery updated the recipe for it just recently. And yeah , after rating it I’m gonna drink the whole bottle. Pours a dark brown and clear with a good tanned head. Nose : just after opening the bottle I discovered new chocolate aroma that I haven’t felt with the old one. Cappuccino. There is some dried fruit aroma hiding behind all that coffee. Hops. Sip (finally) : Smooth, much more like milk. Flat almost oily. Medium bitter, small sweet. It’s definitely coffee bitter. Milk background. There are still hops it it ! Ouff ! Really enjoyable brune going for a stout. I think the brewery is something of an alien among belgian brews. Really interesting US/UK influences. I enjoy a lot : next time I visit the brewery I’ll ask them to put some more alcohol in it.

0.75l bottle shared with ClubGonzo and InBreak. This one pours a dark dark reddish brown body with a massive and fluffy off-white head and some big grey sediments. The aroma is really low and anonymous. Hints of some yeast with some fruits and perhaps some mild chocolate-hints as well. Soft carbonation, medium-bodied and the mouthfeel is mild, smooth and light creamy. Flavors are first soft and fruity. There’s hints of thin coffee, chocolate malts and cookies. Quite unique, interesting and different stuff this one, but I kinda liked it.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Nice brun, caramel sweetness, burned sugar, yes some discreet hops to balance it . Pleasant yeast presence, too.

Sample from a 0,75 L bottle. Unclear dark reddish-brown. Tall off-white head. Bubble-gum fruitiness and faint sourish bread on the nose. Taste is sourish bready, fairly dry, with a fine crispness. Some bitter and spice tones underneath. Less than medium full. Dry, lightly spiced ending.
