3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A Mes rate:
Draught @ Bruxellensis. Rulles are a bit of hit and miss for me and this was verging on the latter. Very standard brune. Malty and pretty dull. Nothing to set it aside from many other run of the mill Brunes.

Københavnske Øldage 07. Dark brown with a creamy head. The aroma is fruity and malty and the flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, fruit, light bitterness and somewhat more hop-bite than normally in the brunes. 17/29

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at the famous Brugs Beertje bar in Brugge (Belgium), dark brown with a light tan bubbly head. A light malty aroma with some alcohol. A smooth stout-like roasted flavour with some caramal. Not rich at all with more dryness in the finish. I’m a fan of this brewery and it doesn’t look like it is getting enough credit here.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
75 cL bottle. Translucent dark brown with purplis highlights and beige head. Faint, malty nose with some espresso and red wine notes. Flavor is faintly tart, light and unexpected tannins lend an interesting vinous element, roast coffee detectable. Fairly light mouthfeel, not quite thin but certainly quaffable, with a dry finish, mildly roasty aftertaste. It has character, yet it’s sessionable and no characteristic stands out above the others. No silly spices or other funny stuff here. Just a solid brown ale.
