Tasted at ZBF 2010 at 7/3/2010.Dark, brown-red-black. Big head, beige, almost white. Fruit-caramel smell, dark fruits and bread. Earth taste, caramel, dark fruits, bit of coffee. To much water. A bit of a dissapointment at the festival.

gyllenbock (8026) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 13, 2010
On tap at Akkurat, Februari 12 2010. Dark brown with a small beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, spices and dark berries. Quite sweet and spicy taste with something that I could not quite put my finger on. Some kind of chewing gum? Carbonation was low and the aftertaste long. Drinkable but nothing spectacular.

750ml bottle. Pours mahogany with a slender bone-coloured head latticing the glass with lace. Dusty chocolate and faint plum aroma with some orange and peppery spice swimming about beneath; creamy and dusty with gentle notes of digestive biscuit, milk chocolate, very mild soy yeastiness, earth, lactic traces. Smooth-drinking but ultimately fairly empty dubbel that makes me wish it was a 750ml bottle of Estivale. Too polite and silky for its own good.

Bottle kindly shared by faroeviking. It pours a hazy light brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is a little sourish with notes of caramel, citrus and spices. Flavour is sweet malt, spices and yeast with a faint sour note. Rather thin bodied.
