0.75l bottle from the Croatian Beershop, shared with heavy. Poured a medium sized off white head on top of a murky dark red-brrown body. Coffee, some candied orange, dark maltiness, some light hopiness, a bit herbal. The taste was marked by the typical Rulles hopiness (American hops?), bitter, herbal and orange-like, but the beer is more malty than the others, carrying notes of caramel, coffee and chocolate. Still, kinda mild, and very well balanced. Coffee in the aftertaste too. I’d definitely drink it again.

Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - FEB 2, 2009
750 ml bottle. A cloudy dark amber beer with a medium sized, persistent and creamy beige head. The aroma is moderately malty, lightly roasty, with notes of chocolate, dark fruits, some herbal hops. Moderate sweetness in the flavour, with again a soft but present roastiness. Mild acidity and quite creamy mouthfeel. Medium body, lively carbonation, long finish with light to medium bitterness. Rather roasty for a Belgian, not exceptional but enough complex and drinkable. Good

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 27, 2008
In short: A very soft juicy Belgian dark ale. Rulles weak link.
How: Bottle 750ml, 6+ months old
The look: Clear ruby body topped by a medium head
In long: Nose of dark fruits, wood and light spicy notes. The light body feels airy and a bit foamy. Taste of toffee in plum juice, purple “flavoured” hard-candy, grape juice. Finish of sweet plum juice. Not tasty at all, low on hops, totally lacking the cool usual Rulles yeast presence. The disappointment of the Rulles family, every family has their cousin Louis.
