Warka 01.09.2014, wiec ok 3 msc po terminie. Kolor ciemnobrunatny, dosc mocno zmetnione. Piana obfita, dosc szybko opada do cienkiej obraczki i mocno oblepia szklo. W aromacie owocowe, winne, lekko dzikie, przyprawowe, lekka opiekana slodowosc i nuty ciemnego cukru, taki lekko dziki dubbel. W smaku typowe nuty dubbla, opiekana slodowosc, wino, suszone owoce, lekka dzikosc, bardzo duzo slodkich wisni, lekkie nuty syropu kandyzowanego. Goryczka niska, ziolowa, pestkowa i lodygowa. W odczuciu nisko wysycone, gladkie.

Bottle. Pours dirty brown in color with an off-white head. Breadyness, garden red berries, sweet butterscotch and dark fruityness in aroma. Bit of chocolate, dark breadyness and plums in taste. Soft and smooth. Roasted coffee, bit of sourness even and musty ripe dark fruityness in the end.

750ml bottle served in a Leffe chalice.
A: Pours a dark amber to brown color forming a medium and bubbled beige head. Good retention with a thin layer that remains forever on the top. Lots of thin molasses formed and left in the glass
S: Sweet caramel malts and dark chocolate. Strong brown sugar and caramel malts. Light notes of dark fruits. Yeasts are very bready and earthy. Belgian style
T: Slightly sweet upfront. Lots of dark chocolate and chocolate malts. In overall, a dry and crispy taste followed by a mild hops bitterness. Light notes of dark fruits and wood. Roasted, very bready and biscuity. Some ashy notes. Quite earthy yeasts profile
M: Medium to heavy body. Medium carbonation. Malty and chocolate aftertaste
O: Good drinkability. Nice Belgian Dark Ale

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark Rulles with beige, loose, sticky, unstable head and dark bronze colour with wine-red hue, hazy, milky after adding deposit. Aroma of walnuts, plums, apple, grassy hops; malty, nutty taste, sweetish but not cloying, mild herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Stereotypical dubbel.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a hazy semi-dark red/brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some speckled spider web lacing sticking all over.
The smell had a really nice sweet to spicy blend of dark fruits (raisins, plums, and black cherries). Also, I get some light apricots, apples, and peaches. Spices to include cinnamon, allspice and clove to take me further down this road of bliss.
The taste was an intricately sweet and spicy enthrallment of a blend of the previously mentioned flavors. Light coffee bean and chocolate eventually arrive after a decent warming.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body and was mainly a sipper. Though not too high in ABV, it just seemed like there’s too much going on to indulge in deep drinking.
Overall, perfect night cap. It makes me want to move to Belgium.
