Retrogusto piacevolissimo e molto molto persistente! Beverina al massimo, sono quasi ubriaco!

Bottle, 75cl, served in a restaurant pairing dinner. Pours dark red-brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is light, toasty. Flavor is balanced, with a complex center of coffee and toasted nuts. Found it to be delicious paired with roast meat. Very tasty Belgian brown ale.

Piwo dla mnie super. Piekne rubinowej ciemno bordowej barwy. Piana puszysta kremowa spora i trwala. W smaku lekkie kwaskowate tony. Ciasteczka korzenne i powidla. Winny aromat, aronia czarna jagoda. Koncowka ciasteczkowa i chlebowo czekoladowa. Bardzo dobre piwo milo sie degustowalo. Piwo o sporej pojemnosci ale blyskawicznie sie konczylo. Nie bylo ciezkawe. Pelne w smaku i naturalne. Polecam

Thanks Micah! This was poured into a chalice. The appearance was a hazy semi-dark red/brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some speckled spider web lacing sticking all over. The smell had a really nice sweet to spicy blend of dark fruits (raisins, plums, and black cherries). Also, I get some light apricots, apples, and peaches. Spices to include cinnamon, allspice and clove to take me further down this road of bliss. The taste was an intricately sweet and spicy enthrallment of a blend of the previously mentioned flavors. Light coffee bean and chocolate eventually arrive after a decent warming. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body and was mainly a sipper. Though not too high in ABV, it just seemed like there’s too much going on to indulge in deep drinking. Overall, perfect night cap. It makes me want to move to Belgium.

750 ml bottle into chalice, best before June 2015. Pours very hazy deep reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big chocolate, toast, caramel, pear, apple, raisin, brown bread, pepper, clove, brown sugar, toffee, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of chocolate, caramel, toast, pear, apple, raisin, clove, pepper, brown bread, floral, brown sugar, toffee, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of chocolate, caramel, toast, brown bread, clove, pepper, pear, apple, raisin, floral, brown sugar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/spicy flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian brown ale. All around great balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle, at the brewery. Dark brown with nice beige head and lace. Chocolate, roasted malt, tobacco, hops and more bitterness than the avg. brune. Deliscious.

Bottle at the famous Brugs Beertje bar in Brugge (Belgium), dark brown with a light tan bubbly head. A light malty aroma with some alcohol. A smooth stout-like roasted flavour with some caramal. Not rich at all with more dryness in the finish. I’m a fan of this brewery and it doesn’t look like it is getting enough credit here.

Keg imported directly from the brasserie. Deep mahogany with a fine beige head. Very complex aroma of chocolate, very good roast maltiness, ripe red fruit. Silky palate, smooth maltiness. Extremely balanced and dangerously drinkable.
